"Rooms were clean. Hotel was also great. Restaurant manager/ server seemed a bit arrogant and the food (dinner) was terrible. Hotel is in an unpleasant area and we were advised not to walk arou nd the area. No local shops or restaurants. The tram stop also seems to attract unsavoury characters and as a whole felt unsafe.. "

"Very close to airport. Good for a quick stay before catching a flight. Had a very nice breakfast series and friendly welcoming front desk agents. "

"Nice comfortable clean smallish room. The breakfast was fine, affordable (12 euros) and convenient but the dining room when I get there was filled with dirty dishes, they were slow to bus tables. In their defense, I came to the breakfast room at 8 right after the morning rush. The lobby is a bit basic, but there was a place to sit and work or recharge your cell phone while you waited for your room to be ready. Taking the tram to the airport was easy, a ten minute walk and one stop from the airport. The staff were friendly and kind and helpful. My bed was comfortable, the pillows good, the shower hot, my room quiet. It was a good place to spend the night waiting for a flight. There were two restaurants within a block and a pharmacy. The neighborhood is not particularly charming but a working class Italian neighborhood and therefore ok by me. Not bougie. Who wants bougie?"

"The check-in reception staff were excellent—efficient, welcoming, and professional, setting a strong first impression. Unfortunately, the breakfast experience fell significantly short. The staff appeared stressed, disengaged, and at times discourteous. The buffet was closed approximately 10 minutes before the stated closing time, which was both unexpected and inconvenient. On a Sunday, when breakfast was scheduled until 11:00am, an elderly guest seated at 10:46am was abruptly told, “it’s all closed.” Similar interactions with other guests reflected a lack of attentiveness and basic hospitality. The overall quality of the breakfast was below average, and the service experience reinforced the impression that guests were more of an inconvenience than a priority. Even simple requests—such as asking for paper napkins—required repeated follow-ups and long waiting times. Additionally, the absence of soap/ shower gel in the bathroom was a basic oversight that just adds to annoyance. The room itself was acceptable—clean, but nothing great. The thermostat was funny or a dummy, I am not too sure. Overall, while the reception team performed well, the poor breakfast service and lack of attention to detail significantly impacted the stay. Based on this experience, I would recommend choosing a Hilton Hotels or Marriott Hotels property instead. The service standards and overall experience here have unfortunately left a lasting negative impression of the Novotel. #NeverAgain "

"Clean, affordable, and well positioned by the city/airport train line. Exactly what I needed."

"We booked this hotel because it said they have airport shuttle and it is 10 min away from airport since we are leaving early in the morning, however there was no shuttle service, although they will help you to call car service. So I felt this info was incorrect and misleading. We had to take taxi into center of Florence and took taxi back, we would booked other hotel in center of the city. Other than that, People were nice , we have no other issues. "

"Excellent staff!! No shuttle, but staff arranged taxi. Rooms are small but adequate; noisy and lots of light at night. Difficult HVAC controls, leaving room stuffy and warm. "
