I've travelled a lot over the last 4 decades and Kona Palace has the best view of any property I've stayed in. It is cozy and secluded and it was amazing just to sit on the patio and watch the sun come up from the side of a mountain! The surrounding foliage is beautiful and the accomodations are comfortable. The cherry on top was finding we had a hot tub!

Very nice place to stay. We have never been to Hawaii before and this was our first trip there. Room was extremely comfortable, breakfast was amazing. Host was very nice and accommodating. Great location! Close to the best snorkeling places. My favorite was Two Steps beach 10-15 mins drive from the property. Can highly recommend morning hours snorkeling there. Fantastic view of the captain Cook bay from the property.

Alaskans Loved Kona Palace

Kona Palace was the biggest treat of our trip to Big Island. The home is gorgeous- very clean and filled with art, antiques and beautiful stained glass. The view of Kaalakakua Bay is unsurpassed—with homemade hot breakfast served and cooked by the host. They also have worked hard to cultivate gorgeous landscaping- flowering bushes and palms. We were warmly welcomed and will return.
