"Property was really good, a little dated but it’s in an excellent location for the beach and local resturaunts, would recommend this hotel to others."
"Probably the quirkiest place we have stayed, which is not a negative. The area is very lush foluage-wise. It is a 20 min walk (for us) into Byron Bay where loads of places for breakfast and other meals (esp if you like Mexican!). In the lodge we had it is a narrow and tight circular staircase to bedroom so note if not good with stairs! Not great to get suitcases up so we left on couches downstairs. "The Wollongbar Motel is a superb place to stay when visiting Byron Bay. It's really clean and well maintained. There's acees to thebeach from the motel grounds. It's a 3 minute walk from the centre of town. Cannot recommend it enough."
"The Queen room offered generous space and a private balcony with lovely outdoor views. Both the room and amenities were impeccably maintained. The standout feature? A beautifully heated pool perfect for relaxing."
"No frills renovated motel in the centre of Byron Bay within walking distance of everything. Very clean room recerntly renovated. Very handy onsite parking. Loved staying here!"
"Parking is shocking around Byron Bay, The Shire is greedy and tourists will stop coming when you have a $5 per hour parking policy - so you get a coffee for $3.50 and pay $10 parking!! Ridiculous!! So you have lost me Byron Bay. Problem is, you can’t even park in the street to check in (maybe they should have a private spot)
Parking at hotel is excellent once you have checked in, at the hotel car park
I feel sorry for any business in Byron Bay as in my opinion, the Shire will close them up with their greedy policies!! "
