"We thoroughly enjoyed out two night stay at Barrow Lodge from the minute we arrived to when we left. Clodagh is an exceptional hostess, giving us the warmest welcome, and really useful advice on where to go for food and what to see. The room was big, clean with a lovely view of the estuary. Breakfast was fabulous. We've been recommending it to everyone since we left as it's a little gem and we'd definitely go back. If you're in the area, stay here!"

The Ashe Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The property is luxurious and well furnished. The room was clean and the staff were helpful. The only drawback is there are no refrigerators in the rooms unless you’re in a deluxe room. That being said they do have a refrigerator at reception you can request your items be stored in. There is a restaurant on site, but we decided to walk to local pub and the hotel itself was well placed near multiple pubs, convenience stores and pharmacy, which we needed."

10/10 Excellent

"Super friendly front desk. Our room wasn't ready at check in time, same with another couple. They were apologetic, offered us drinks. And every time we walked by during our stay they greeted us and chatted. Great location to town, easy walk along the marina and to get dinner. Yet far enough away to be so quiet at night. Plenty of parking. Shower is tiny by most US standards, comfy bed/pillow combo. Enjoyed our stay here!"

"The food staff were lovely and very helpful. The reception staff acted like they were guests. They had no local info, barely lifts a finger to help and were pompous. We had walked the Dingle Way to get there and there seemed to be a sense that we were somehow below the other tourists. Or they just didn’t know what to make of us. The housekeeping staff seemed to have forgotten our room. The shower handle came off in my hand and the ac that switched on and off all night had something wrong with it that caused it to bang loudly. The views were beautiful. The bar was nice. We found much better hospitality in the small b&bs we stayed at along the walking trail. Unfortunate, given the cost of this hotel."
