Caravelas Beach

The breakfast was good, lots of choices but the WiFi does not work in the rooms . The location is very central and close to a lot of things but they do not have a clothes iron. The staff said they offer ironing but only in the morning and I needed to iron my shirt at night so I had to go without. The rooms were clean but the bathrooms were a bit dated and had mold on some of the tiles .

Santa Teresa Hotel Rio de Janeiro was one of the highlights of my first trip to Rio. I stayed here for my birthday after spending a few nights at the Emiliano, as I wanted to experience different areas of the city, and I'm so glad I did. From the moment we arrived, the staff delivered exceptional service. Whether it was restaurant recommendations, arranging transportation, helping with luggage, or answering questions, everyone was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. The hotel also felt very secure, with staff monitoring the entrance at all times, which gave us great peace of mind. One of the standout experiences was our couples massage at Le Spa. We chose the Couple's Ritual Renewal treatment, and it was easily one of the best massages I've ever had. It was so relaxing that both my girlfriend and I fell asleep. The hotel made my birthday extra special by surprising me with a cake and decorating the mirror in our room. It was a thoughtful gesture that showed how much attention they pay to the little details. The property itself is stunning, with lush greenery throughout, beautiful rooms, a gorgeous pool, an inviting bar, and incredible views overlooking Rio. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options each morning. Overall, Santa Teresa Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The hotel, staff, food, service, and cleanliness were all 10/10. I would absolutely stay here again on my next trip to Rio.

I will start by saying the hotel was in a great location. Being right there on Ipanema beach and just steps away from the beach. It was located near many restaurants and local stores. The staff were welcoming and all were very helpful throughout my stay, making me feel like I was on vacation. However, I have stayed at many hotels and the amount of money I spent on the Lux Vista Mar Panoramico was not worth it. The room had this weird smell. It smelled like urine. The room was very outdated. The only thing good about the room was the view. Also, there was construction going on so from bright and early every morning on my vacation, I could hear banging and knocking. The walls are very thin, you can hear people talking on the beach, playing music all night and the room is on the 15th floor. So let’s just say, I barely got any good sleep. There wasn’t an iron in the room, waited an hour to get one and when I did get one, it was broken, the water poured right out. There was a used towel in the bathroom when I first arrived. The elevators took a very long time to come and the breakfast options were limited. I couldn’t wait to leave that hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again.
