"Staff was wonderful property was beautiful. The location was far from anything but very cool. The only issue was getting to a restaurant at night. Other than that it’s a great place to stay."
"Very clean rooms and the whole hotel is in great condition. Marvao is a very special and nice village within an old fortress on top of a mountain about 840 meters over the sea level. Owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely stay!"
"We were greeted by friendly staff, room was clean and beds comfortable. It was in a quiet location. Breakfast was delicious too! We wished we could stay 2 nights "
"Poorly maintained hotel
We did not have even hot water for the shower
They did not tell us it was a problem with the water heater when we checked in, we may have asked for a refund and look for another hotel, but obviously was too late by the time we found a little note they left in the room. This is at the most, a 2 stars hotel "
"I highly recommend a stay at this historic property in Marvão. It has an old world charm and the amenities are excellent. The rooms are clean and comfortable, brightly lit, the breakfast superb and the view from the dining room is amazing. The staff were friendly and most helpful. "
"Gabriel and Susan made our stay feel safe and at home. Property is situated on a large farm with great views. They have horses, cows and goats so you are in the cou try. The swimming pool was nice and kept spotless. Susan brought home made goodies every day Fresh milk was a dream, juices teens really enjoyed. She brought us so much we couldnt eat it all. The only suggestions i would make is a few small kitchen items, electric coffee maker (she did supply all the coffee, tea, hot chocolate), spatula. Otherwise everything else was good. They do have a large laundry room with everything you need which was ausome. The best was how they both made you feel such friendly and kind people."
