I have stayed here several times and the staff are great, however, the room i had on this occasions was in very poor condition, no bath plug, damaged bath panel, several lights nor working, mouldy ceilings etc... I think i would now look elsewhere before rebooking.

The hotel looked ok from the outside but things quickly went down hill upon entry. We waited for a while for a receptionist to appear which wasn’t too much of an issue but we were completely ignored by other staff during this time. We were then allocated a different style room to that we had booked but only found this out when we entered the room. When queried we were advised that all the rooms were the same and there were no executive suites. No refund was offered for the difference in room rate either and the manager was not available until the following day. We decided to look elsewhere and checked out. At this point we were told we could move to (a nonexistent) executive suite the following day. This was the worse experience of staff we have EVER encountered.

The hotel is well placed in the area with lots of places to visit, however, there was decorating taking place in the hall outside (much needed and over due). Damaged furnishings in the room thst had been glued together, the place just needs some money spent on it. Thst said, all the staff were lovely and welcoming, i would return but i would be selective with my room choice.

I didn't like the idea of being placed on the ground floor with an wide open window as a female travelling on my own. I was placed in a disabled access room which had a low pressure shower and the floor seems dirty. It's probably a thing for those type of rooms but I hate the idea of not being able to put the seat down after flushing. The hotel does offer food which I have had on several occasions (and it's decent) as well as a beautiful public pathway nearby to explore the valley in more detail.

Very disappointing stay at Heritage Park Hotel
Public areas well presented, breakfast outstanding, staff very helpful and friendly. Evening meal was a disappointment as it was cold and poorly presented. When we arrived we turned down the first bedroom offered as it was a disabled room, the second bedroom offered we declined as the sink sin the bathroom was blocked and would not empty. Begrudgingly we accepted the third bedroom which was a twin, one bed was higher that the other and both were extremely uncomfortable. Due to a skin condition I have a nightly bath, there was no heating in the bathroom so it was too cold to have a bath. When we sat on the toilet seat the cover hit our back which was so uncomfortable. The grouting in the tiles was discoloured and there was mildew around the bedroom window. There was as door to an adjoining room, one of the doors was missing and we could hear the conversation when the television wasn’t on. In my opinion the bedroom and bathroom was a complete disaster. The room number was 123.

Room not very clean, stains on toiley and sink, pillows and matress were old and not very comfy. Other than that it was a fair stay, cheap and cheerful for average 50 quid a night for a room.

We have stayed here a number of times and the hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The only disappointment this visit was no complimentary biscuits & water in our room! This won’t put us off visiting again though.

We felt the property lacked management. No second key, even though it is needed in room with 2 people, issues around paying staff members, seems like they are low on money management, thus it appears trained management is needed. Ps food was good.

Nothing left just after 4pm
Arrived about 4ish to be told by reception that hot food was served until 5pm and then sandwiches 5-8pm..waited to be seated around 4.10pm to be told that the chef had decided there wasn’t enough food and she wanted to cater for the guests already seated 😮…not what you want to hear after a 4 hour drive….we had stayed here previously for 2 nights and not had a problem but this time was ridiculous…no food so we had to scramble about in the town and didn’t have a clue where to go..by this time my partner was not only tired but hungry and grumpy… the passage on trying to find our room had a very fusty smell to it and there was a tinge of a wee smell in our bathroom,I had not notice this on a previous visit or the dirt in the bathroom..there was also a slight musty smell in the room which looked like mold on the carpet next to the radiator,,shocked to see it this time and the business of no food also as we where also paying guests…reception staff where lovely in booking in and out and I got passed on to speak to the manager..he was also a nice chap and apologised but failed to offer any sort of discount due to our inconvenience

Upon entering the reception/bar area the hotel appeared to be modern and clean but beyond that the hallways and rooms were tired with the paintwork and decor, especially the bathroom in our room, are in need of refurbishment…I stayed here with my friend after a day out for her 40th birthday and upon requesting 2 wine glasses at reception we were told that alcohol wasn’t allowed in the room??! I’ve never come across this rule in any other hotel and was very disappointed.

Our apologies for that being your experience regarding the wine glasses with our reception team, while we cannot promote outside alcohol in the hotel we cannot stop or deny anyones alcohol to their rooms so this should have been provided for you. We will make sure all reception staff are aware of this moving forward.

Very convenient for visiting my friend and a really good price. The breakfast was delicious. Cooked to order. Although it says on website, that there is no breakfast option. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

We were unfortunate enough to stay in the Heritage Park Hotel. The rooms are definitely not as advertised in the pictures on the internet. The whole hotel is very dated and tired. The reception and hallway areas smell very badly of damp, stale water which requires the windows in all areas to be left open all the time - this made the hotel feel cold and damp. Our rooms were in a poor state. One room only had a sky-light - it had a blind on it which made the room dark and you could not open the blind or the window. It was essentially a windowless room. We were not advised this room type was an option and they couldn't swap it. Both rooms had basic, old furniture in them; certainly no flowers, pictures, comfort or style. The second double room smelled very badly indeed (a really unpleasant, pervading waste water smell) possibly from the leaky bathroom sink and wet floor tiles/grout. This meant we had to leave our window open at all times and the bathroom fan on constantly - even through the night. The staff were unable to turn on the heating in our rooms or the bathroom towel rails - everything was stone cold. They had run out of heaters and dehumidifiers. We had to climb into the old bath to access the overhead shower which leaked past the poorly fitted shower screen (same in both rooms). Towels needed on the floor though you could apparently borrow a non-slip mat from reception! Also, the hotel does not serve dinner, past 4pm, on Sundays.

Good place for a couple of nights
Hotel was good, its a little worn and dated in parts, but overall clean and tidy. My first night I was in a single room. It was quite small and warm, so had to sleep with window open. The window unfortunately overlooked a noisy road so I didnt get a good night. I appriached reception next day and they arranged a different room. It was upgraded to a twin that faced the rear and was much better

Generally good hotel
Hotel was overall good, clean, comfortable, bar and restaurant good. We had a room with a bathroom that had not yet been refurbished, it was tired, radiator rusty etc, but they are gradually updating them all. The rest of the room was fine.

I was in room 201, only window was velux, light coloured blind so beware as soon as it’s light, it will wake you up. No glasses in the room for water or after cleaning your teeth. Felt the room was a tad tired, it was clean though. Food in the restaurant was excellent and good value, no sauce available for breakfast, very strange nothing in the whole hotel. It was a convenient stay.
