The room was lovely and clean plus they had put heating on which was a bonus on wet cold day. Disappointed the shower in our room would not work so had to use the bath not ideal when you like a morning shower. Very nice room not in main building but lovely Christmas wreath on door , Dyson hairdryer and room fan plus lovely selection of teas coffee and hot chocolate available. Only gripe is the pillows they are fluffy feather ones and are useless in my opinion. Had a meal in restaurant it was lovely the 3 young men were very processional, attentive and pleasant they did a great job working under a lady who must have been the manager who was also a great hostess we would definitely return. It’s quiet and out of the way but lovely place for a 1 night break. The food was beautiful only fault we didn’t enjoy the bread it was dry and crumbly as if it had been frozen but the meal and dessert were perfect.

Location lovely, service poor

The room was lovely and comfortable, but unfortunately despite advising of a late check in, when we arrived the hotel was locked, lights out and desk empty. We ended up calling the provided number and waited 10-15mins outside for someone upstairs to turn on the lights and come out to show us our room. They then advised us of the wrong breakfast times, so we missed the breakfast and but were provided with tea, coffee and toast. We did not receive an apology during our visit for the service. In communications since, the Assistant Operations Manager confirmed he waited for us, however his time leaving was at the time we arrived.

Great food in the restaurant. Room too noisy due to noise from the access corridor alongside. Shower curtain into a cast bath did not work and was dangerous which was a shame as the bathroom was good otherwise. Nice large bedroom

Wonderful stay! What a gem!

Lovely little hotel in a beautiful setting. Deluxe room (Dashing Dace) was well-decorated, with a large and comfortable bed. The bathroom was large and spacious, with a lovely roll-top bath and large shower (good water pressure too). Food and service at the restaurant was great, and the continental breakfast had a good selection and was of good quality. We loved our stay and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in the area.
