"We travelled with a group of 5 couples and stayed in the Welty House, known for being part of the ghost tours in Gettysburg. The rooms were decorated in period furniture. There was a beautiful courtyard with tables and chairs where we were able to gather. The beds are very firm, so this made it difficult for some to sleep. Rooms have electric fireplaces (except the Georgia room) which warmed up the rooms nicely. They moved me from the Georgia Room after the first night as the gas fireplace was...

"First, we got to Gettysburg more quickly that we thought we would. We went to the hotel and asked if our room was ready even though it was only about 1:00 p.m. They checked and graciously let us go to our room where we washed our hands and then we were off to explore. The next day, I had to wrap a gift for a party we were attending and had to wrap it at the hotel. I went to the front desk to ask for a scissors and tape and the woman there explained that someone had walked off with her scissors but she said she would look in her office. She came back with a pair and gave me a roll of tape and in no time my gift was wrapped. I so appreciated her willingness to help me - AND she did it with a smile! In addition, our room was spotless. We would choose this Wyndham again in a heartbeat! "
