"Very brief stay as was asleep within half hr of arriving at 21:30 and away by 4am But couldn’t fault the place at all and very helpful reception who had to endure the customers from hell in front of me. Totally unjustified behaviour and she handled it like a champ 10/10"

"We stayed at Langley Castle Wednesday and Thursday. The castle itself is stunning, towering stone walls, peaceful grounds and interiors that balance medieval character with modern comfort. The staff were exceptional throughout our visit, friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. Check in was smooth and the breakfast and the evening meal was very good. I booked the castle view room with the roof terrace, it was very quiet, apart from the visiting Peacocks and Peahens, and is accessed from the room via double glazed doors; there is also an air conditioner in the room which was a godsend! The bathroom unfortunately is very dated and needs some money spending on it to bring into the 21st century, (the shower was awesome though) some new furniture would be a good addition as well, unfortunately the room was very dusty and needed a good clean. The grounds are peaceful and perfect for a quiet walk. The castle is full of history to explore or as we did have a relaxing escape. Overall we had a lovely stay and would happily return. Langley Castle is a unique peaceful and interesting venue."

"Friendly very clean and had good selection of towels and good range of tea and coffee with buscuits much better than some chains which are mean, the car park was off site but took my car reg details and so that i was not charge at the car park beind other building accross the road. see if this is the case"

"The Mary Mount is a lovely hotel that is in the PERFECT spot - the lower end of Derwentwater and right at one of the ferry stops! The scenery is remarkable! The staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The only complaint I would have is the room we stayed in had an uncomfortable bed and was a bit noisy in the evening when people were having a late dinner or drinks. The walls dont keep the noise out. Other than that I loved the stay and would stay again but probably get a different room, requesting one far from the the kitchen dining area."
