"Great waterside location , with super pool, mini beach and large rooms. However, as others mention, the property is dated- the bathroom especially needed a refurb. The hotel had a 1980s feel of an establishment that was once grand but just didn’t move with the times. That said, the staff are helpful, the pool is a plus point to cool down in after a day of sight seeing and there is a free shuttle bus to take you up the hill into town ."

"We have just returned from a wonderful 5-night stay at The Capital Boutique Hotel and we wanted to take the opportunity to express our sincere appreciation for such an exceptional experience. Having visited Malta for many years, this was actually our first time staying in Valletta, and we chose your hotel as part of a special 60th birthday celebration. Thanks to your outstanding hospitality, the occasion was made even more memorable and special than we could have hoped for. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The warm welcome, beautiful room, excellent facilities, and most importantly, the fantastic staff all contributed to a truly unforgettable stay. Every member of the team was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the hotel, from the delicious breakfasts each morning to the relaxing pool area. The rooftop bar was a particular highlight, offering stunning views over Valletta and providing the perfect setting to unwind in the evenings. It is difficult to find fault with any aspect of our stay. The service, atmosphere, attention to detail, and overall guest experience were all first-class. We would not hesitate to recommend The Capital Boutique Hotel to anyone visiting Malta, and we can confidently say that we will definitely return and stay with you again in the future."

"Second time we have stayed in this hotel and again it was excellent, centrally located in the heart of Valleta, 5 mins from Main Street, rooms clean with all amenities you would need, nice breakfast with cooked and cold choices, eggs, bacon, sausage beans, mushrooms, cold meats, cheeses, fresh salmon, fruit and sweets"

"Our room was classed as a Superior city view, but was dark with a small balcony overlooking a narrow side street. The room was clean and comfortable but nothing outstanding. The breakfast was mediocre, with no variety day on day. Usual lukewarm basic selection although you can request to have it in the Executive breakfast room on the top floor which has outside seating and wonderful views. Disappointed that there is no outdoor pool, but you do have free access to Aqualuna across the road. Also disappointing is that there are no outdoor areas to sit or any bar or restaurant facilities during the day. The staff are lovely and friendly and the location is great, but I think there are better options along the seafront in Sliema."

"There are usually pros and cons to a hotel stay but I can only talk about the pros because our stay at the Gomerino Hotel was wonderful. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, going beyond the call of duty. This is a boutique style hotel, so it was a refreshing experience. The view from the pool area was breathtaking - you could actually see the entire waterfront. Breakfast was delicious and meticulously prepared. The location was ideal, it's right in the center of town. A bonus is that the Valletta Food Market was right across the street! Amenities were great, and the property was squeaky clean. The staff really went out of their way to attend to our every need. They even provide a hotel car and driver for a reasonable fee. After our cruise, we stayed an extra night. We needed to catch an early morning flight so I was a little apprehensive to go to the airport at 3:00 AM, but it all went well. The driver showed up in time. I can't say enough good things about the Gomerino. My brother and I loved it!!!"

"My experience in this hotel is amazing, everything is perfect from the place itself to the staff. The pool and garden are beautiful. However, the breakfast foods didn’t suit me, maybe because I’m asian. And I did experience issue when doing the check out, I did try call to the reception multiple times to ask if someone could come to help me with the luggage but no calls were replied, so I ask cleaners ( 2 cleaners, each one I waited for 30 minutes) outside to check this out for me, I was waiting for more than an hour but nobody came. So I had to carry the luggage by myself. This is the only issue I had."

"Nice hotel in a quiet area. Reception were super friendly and helpful as well as staff in restaurants. Good breakfast, could do with maybe a better selection. Room was clean and well equipped . Balcony and view disappointing. A little bit confusing with booking pool areas. Felt staff were quite rude here- couldn’t bring water to the beach club. Good selection of food on offer at pool terrace and beach club but expensive for non alcoholic drinks - paid €5 for a Coke Zero, not out of a glass bottle either. For the price I didn’t feel the hotel was value for money but enjoyed my stay"
