"The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. I very much enjoyed the quiet room! There is no pool, but it is a very comfortable and clean place to sleep. "

"This bed and breakfast excelled beyond all expectations! The property is exceptionally beautiful with many historic features scarcely seen except in museums of great old houses. Our host couldn't have been more wonderful and he helped us out after a long ride on the Erie Canal Trail. The amenities were excellent. I would go to Fort Plain just to stay there again. Thank you!"
"When we entered, a cleaning person was taking all the chairs in the lobby and dusting them the legs underneath and wiping down the top the back and underside it was amazing"

"This accommodation worked great for us. Great location for a ride on the Erie Canal Trail. It isn’t a fancy place but has eating and antiques nearby. There is a working kitchen for those who want to cook or make coffee and a living area separate from bedroom. You will find a do it yourself bike shop area across the street in the mill across the street. There is no reception desk so go into the restaurant/bar below or the old stone mill across the street for information. The other thing to note is there are two flights of stairs to get to the room. It all worked for us."
"Overall, easy check in, organized neat and clean! Very well stocked Continental Breakfast and coffee/tea and soda in full supply. We would stay again for sure!! Thank you."

"The hospitality of the staff especially Ginny the owner of this fine establishment was very helpful and were great to chat with regarding the region of the Adirondacks. Let me not forget to mention the rooms are cozy, impeccable and lovely decorated by Ginny who is true artist. I do plan on visiting this area of the Adirondacks again and the Balsams will be base camp when exploring this beautiful area. "
