"Very nice, brand new, upscale hotel. Rooms are well appointed and are quite nice. Everything was very clean. AC and large TV works great. Would suggest replacing the small couch with a couple easy chairs. The staff and management are super helpful. The Poplar Restaurant inside the hotel is convenient and food was delicious. Large parking garage adjacent to hotel. There was a lot of construction underway nearby and the overall experience will be enhanced once that is completed. Short walking distance to UVA basketball, baseball, softball and lacrosse stadiums. Will consider staying there again when in town."

"Nice room...thin walls though so a bit noisy. Need to be comfortable with no on site staff. No issues with check in or check out online, but the lock on our balcony door was broken...which given the balconies are connected would have been an issue had my husband not been with me. So I did not try to contact anyone to fix it. TV remote also not working...again no front desk to remedy the situation quickly so we just did without TV. But overall not a bad experience."

"The arboretum behind the hotel was gorgeous, and there is a lit walking path at night to listen to all the toads in the pond. My room was spacious with really high ceilings, good blackout curtains, and a fully enclosed shower (so many hotels these days have exposed showers that get water on the floor). Staff was helpful when I needed a a complimentary item. It’s about a 10-minute Uber to the Charlottesville main street shopping/dining area. If you are visiting the UVA Law or Business schools, or if you have a loved one in Copeley Hill Apartments, you could not be any closer than this."
