Schlossherr auf Zeit

Herausragendes Ambiente, viele liebevolle Details, gute Tipps für Restaurants oder Ausflüge. in der Nachsaison nur Service zum Frühstück und Zimmerreinigung, danach war niemand mehr da (aber telefonisch erreichbar) und wir hatten wir das Schloss komplett für uns (inkl. Küche, Salon mit Flügel, Bibliothek, Billardzimmer und Park mit Pool, Orangerie und Tennisplatz)

We stayed here for 2 nights and I can’t fault it. There are only 6 rooms. Our room was wonderful overlooking the fields into the distance. I think the remaining rooms will be excellent as well. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. It was brilliant to swim in the pool, which is a short stroll away and delightful to swim with only the birds signing. A very peaceful setting. No evening meals, however the suggestions made by Oliver of places to eat were excellent. I felt like I was staying in Downton Abbey without the servants running around after me. Will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area. Beautiful room, tastefully decorated, clean and gave us both a good nights sleep. A good base to explore the surrounding area.

Chateau du Martinet: fantasy becomes reality

We were lucky enough to be able to spend one night at the chateau. The drive up to the chateau in itself is impressive and at the front door we received a warm welcome. The chateau is tastefully decorated and although it is large it still has a cosy feeling. Throughout our stay the Managers we highly attentive and took care of all our needs without fussing over us too much. The only dissapointment is that we couldn't stay longer . If you are looking for a special experence, I highly recommend Chateau du Martinet - a wonderful hotel set in beautiful surrondings
