"The staff that welcomed me was extremely friendly and helpful making sure my stay was pleasant. The front desk staff “Cari” was so nice and helpful
It’s people like “Cari” that will keep me coming back to Best Western for my overnight stays"
"I require a walk-in shower and height adjustable shower chair. Both were provided making my stay enjoyable.
I have to sleep in a recliner or chair for my back. The room included a sitting area with two chairs one which reclined.
The included breakfast was great, I enjoyed bagels, lite yogurt, and cereal.
I had no problems with the keys to the room and the tv performed as needed."
"Leaking bathroom sink tile, TV freezing up, microwave halfway worked, keys to open doors kept having to be updated, breakfast could have been better, noisy, no elevators, and the cost of the room was too much for what they offered."
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Marion Northeast by IHG
6/10 Okay
"The room wasn't cheap, but the hotel was partly under construction, which made everything look a bit shabby. I paid for the clean comfort I normally get from Holiday Inn Express, and was disappointed."
"First room assigned had not been cleaned. Had food and trash, along with cigarette butts and smoke (in a non-smoking room). I understand that the misuse of the room was not management's fault, but that of the prior occupants. However, there should have been protocols in place to insure that rooms are cleaned and noted as such before new guests arrive. The front desk person was very apologetic and noticeably frustrated that this occurred, and when she told another staff member it was shrugged off. The second room assigned was like the rest of the hotel, and not well maintained. The carpet was not vacuumed well, large sections of paint were hanging from the bathroom ceiling, and the mini-fridge was not cleaned well. The following morning we found that the mounted hair drier did not work and they did not have another one available. There are no elevators, which I missed in the property details. With all of these issues though, the bed was comfortable."
