"This is a small flat on the top floor of a terrace house. Yes you can see the river just past the plumbers merchant yard and the industrial estate on the opposite bank. Access is via a very noisy shared stair case. First impressions on entering is a place which needs some upgrading and lacks furnishing - COSY it is not. The place was clean although old paint work and an excess of silicon on the shower tray gave the place a generally shabby feel. Then we opened the oven to find the grill pan had...

"It’s an old building that needs a little tlc. Bar is exceptional, as were the bar staff. The ceiling in my bedroom leaked a little when I rained however, and the shower needs repairing and resealing. Some of the carpets have seen better days. Overall I feel like the actual room wasn’t as nice as the photos. A mini fridge would go a long way, as would a proper coffee set up instead of putting it in the wardrobe"
