Won’t stay in this property in a million years, rooms are terrible, for the price been you can stay in a better hotel in town, the mirror was broken and painted, all the doors were old and wore out, closet door was broke, noisy room road is next to place and windows are not noise protected, crazy to say in other words.

I did not like the room. Room was very hot when we entered. The shower head wouldn’t turn off & sprayed all over the bathroom. Room smelt like mildew. Walls were warped from no ventilation. Hotel and room was not what I expected. I would not stay there.

This place has a good location cause is close to the airport and to the main places at Cartagena. BUT IT’S SUPER NOISY, if you ask for sea view be prepared to listen cars all night, you are going to listen the party buses and the cars honking all night! I had to ask for a change of room, cause I couldn’t sleep, at first they refuse, but since my window was a little open and they couldn’t close it, they had to give me the change of room. It was a really bad experience, and for that price you can get a better hotel! It needs maintenance honestly and rooms are SUPER SMALL, the staff is good though.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
After booking this hotel, we arrived to check in and paid directly with the hotel, once we were taken to our room I WAS SHOCKED once I saw the actual room! I could not believe this was the room that I saw advertised online. The rooms looked absolutely nothing like the photos. To be honest I have seen homeless shelters in better conditions than the rooms here! To top it off the wifi was not working on the entire floor and was told to use it downstairs as it was the only place it was working! After speaking with the reception staff about getting a refund because we simply couldn't stay in this hotel, I was told they cannot refund to my card and that I had to come back tomorrow to see the manager who will be able to initiate the refund for me! After booking another hotel and returning the next day the manager said the refund will take 5 - 10 working days. It's now been over 3 weeks and no sign of the refund!! I even left with a proof of letter as I did not trust them confirming I didn't actually stay in the hotel and I did not use there services, and still no refund! Also hotel tried to contact the property several times and nobody could get through to the hotel at all and the hotel is literally non responsive to calls and emails so if you ever have an issue, it will more than likely not get resolved by this hotel! I would recommend to AVOID this place at all costs! My only regret is not taking pictures of the actual room to show! I did not spend more than a min in the room!

The presentation of the property mislead me on making the reservation. The room is small no place to sit down, noisy, the view to the beach is just a window. No balcony. Disappointed with this hotel. The staff was excellent.

I liked the pool with the view and my room with the ocean view as well. It was very inexpensive and I got breakfast every morning. Staff was friendly too. The 2 main things I did not like were that my room with the ocean view was in the Main Street so I heard the cars all night long. If you can’t sleep with noise did not get the ocean view. 2nd I won’t be specific with my experience but just be aware of your belongings. Especially when they do room service. You can’t really walk around this area, I would go to the centro every day for food or sightseeing. It’s like a 5 minute drive

I had 5 nights at the hotel. 3 nights without air conditioning. The hotel offered nothing. I ask for an adjustment on my food bill, they gave me one free beverage. That's it? I will not stay again.

The room is very small, no fresh air at all. Mold smell. Very noisy day and night To reach the swimming pool have to climb 29 stairs and the pool is very very small.the staff ARE Very FRIENDLY.

Decent hotel. The pool area is small and always loaded with people. The restaurant is tiny, and often there is a line to enter. I ate at tables that were dirty and still had plates and glasses from the last people. The wifi didnt work at all in my room and the windows with my ocean view were filthy dirty so i could hardly see out. Not a great stay.

Stay at Ibis next door, spare the headaches.
Front desk staff doesn’t know what they’re doing. Breakfast terrible and packed with no ventilation or place to sit. THE WORST part is they allow and maybe even encourage the taxis and hasslers (the ones who follow you for a block) to stay right in front of hotel’s only exit. STAY AT THE IBIS next door! They would not tolerate this and can actually be cheaper. When I complained and asked to leave through the staff’s exit (yes, it’s this bad!), the “supervisor” ignored and made little of my discomfort. As a female guest, this made me feel unsafe. Also, I was given a small family room full of beds and no space even though I booked a double bed room. But I would’ve looked past this if not for other issues. (Ps. this was not a cheap stay.)

Amazing breakfast, affordable, friendly staff and hotel is right in front of the beach. Only downside is there is very limited parking so if you have a car that could be a challenge. Parking is free but I only saw 4 or 5 spaces available in total in the space on the side of the hotel.

An overall good stay
Hotel Aixo Suites was a great place to stay in Cartagena. It is located in the Marbella water-front part of Cartagena, 5mins from the airport and 5mins to the historical district. The rooms are good and clean, the rooftop pool has a nice view, and the breakfast is very good. The staff is quite friendly and I felt that this was an overall good stay!
