WARNING: Do Not Stay Here

I wrote a page describing how awful this place was but it limits me to 1500 characters so I have to make it brief: Do NOT stay here! Guy called me after booking requesting CC info over the phone (said no obviously), It was in a bad area (lots of shady vendors hanging around/dangerous), check in was shady, waited 30 mins for a lady to come get us, told the place wasn’t ready yet, paid the remaining amount in cash, got 2 keys, came back to see the place 20 mins later, dump! Seriously…a DUMP. Falling apart (pictures are VERY misleading), no mattresses (foam pads), disgusting bathrooms w/no TP, left after 10 mins and paid $1K/5nights for a hotel. Emailed the lady explaining what happened, only asked for half our money back, No response. Emailed again, No response. Hotels.com tried to reach, nothing. We’re out $500 which can’t be refunded since we paid in cash and deposit was on CC. Not saying their intentions were to steal our money, but they definitely mislead you with what you’re getting. Bed bugs became a REAL possibility when we saw the place. Now if none of this bothers you, this is your spot. But from someone who never writes reviews, taking the time to write this and paying an additional $1K to leave, should tell you how bad this place is. You’ve been warned.

Positivo: Em frente a praia. Apto amplo e com bela vista do mar. Proximo ao comercio e Super Mercado. Taxi eh barato mas usemos UBER. Negativo: Apto com excelentes moveis mas necessita de manutencao "ferrugem Maresia". Chuveiros a gaz nao esquentavam e foi necessario chamar tecnico. Arrumacao e troca roupa de cama e tolhas so ocorrem se pedir por Whatsapp ao proprietario. No checkin proprietario exige pagamento da diferenca das diarias em especie na moeda local COP$ (nao aceita cartao credito), so depois de muito implorar.

Hola, en general la estadía tanto en el apartamento como en la ciudad estuvo muy bien, buenos precios y muy buena atención en todo. Estuve con mi esposa e hijas y realmente la pasamos muy bien.

Needs renovation

Location was good and building was good with all the amenities needed or nearby. Quite a few issues with the apartment - TV in lounge was not working (although it was changed on day 3), couldn't alter air conditioning as the remotes didn't work, small table in lounge area had glass missing so not useable,in-room safe not working, many other minor issues as many things showing signs of age such as drawers broken, damaged items, poor window coverings, etc. - generally needs a good renovation. The local agent was very helpful and did her best. The apartment not really worth the money.

False advertisement this place was a mess

This was advertised as a Luxury apartment was a mess the furniture looked like it was salvage from street garbage.there was fungus growth on both bathrooms. The only good thing was a great view from the balcony. My family and I started to cough up on arrival to this Dump .I will love people to see pictures of this messy place they will be on my face book page

Caribbean Breeze on the 26th Floor!!

Had a super great time in this place, the challenge was I couldn't find Rentascartagena Apartments, it was the Palmetto! The place was exquisite, and the view was on the 26th floor overlooking the Caribbean! Incredible view! Minor things that I won't give 5 stars was The TV in the living room was set up and not working The washing machine didn't work But those small details didn't compare to the secured location, the balcony, the ocean view and the great 3 air condition in every room!!

Lovely views, disappointing admin

Great location on the beach, nice pool with small cafe, fantastic view of ocean and old town from balcony. Apartment showing suffering slightly from the extreme humidity & there's quite a lot of wildlife in the in the drawers cupboards! Administration pretty chaotic - despite receiving an email promising that we would be met at 8am and admitted to the apartment, we were forced to spend 2 hours frantically phoning and emailing before someone showed up & told us we couldn't get in for another 6 hours, which was rather upsetting after 20 hours travelling. Could have done with an introduction pack explaining basics like how to use the safe, where to dispose of rubbish, who to report problems to etc.

Nice view but filthy

We choose this room due to the beautiful view and proximity to the beach. As it turned it, we did not go to the beach at all and regretted not leaving this apartment. We were only given three towels for our entire stay. There were bugs, possibly roaches, leaky sinks, and a horrible bed to sleep on. If you would like a room up to Cleaniness standards, this is not the one.

Functional apartment in great location

Although there were several maintenance glitches with the room and building I would still recommend staying here...as long as you are not expecting ANY LEVEL of luxury. The location and views are great. Management and staff are very nice and helpful.

Exeptional Condo

The place exceeded all my expectations. It was clean, new, and very comfortable. All units face the ocean and the views from both rooms and the balcony were gorgeous. Both bathrooms where modern and furnishings were top notch. The pool was large and situated in the perfect location for sun all day, not to mention the pool bar was cheap and a great way to have a few club colombia's while relaxing.

Spacious and friendly for family

Our stay was very pleasant and the staff was very courteous, helpful and friendly. Palmetto is an apartment, not a hotel. If you want services, like room cleaning, you must arrange and pay for them. Bought our own soap, shampoo and toilet paper. The view was beautiful from the thirty second floor. The two bedroom apartment was spacious and well-furnished. Also breezy with the windows open and well air- conditioned when wanted. The pool was lovely with many depths for different ages and skill levels. Some necessities could have been added to the kitchen- a sharp cutting knife, a can opener, a larger bowl or two. Needed matches or a lighter to light the gas stove. Also, one bathroom had leaky plumbing, causing some mold inside the vanity. The location is more good than bad, especially if one overlooks the current state of construction along the beach road. The area is popular and expanding. It is close and walkable to the old city, the beach is just beyond the front door, good places to eat such as Kokoriko for chicken and Crepes and Waffles for brunch are close by and there are three grocery stores within a five to ten minute walk.
