Top Carvalho Hotel Reviews

Casal dos Capelinhos - Quinta Nova

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff, Antonio, Marlena, Julia and others were warm, welcoming and attentive and genuinely went above and beyond to make our stay special. The food was beautifully prepared, fresh and full of flavour. We would encourage you to take advanage of the supper on site. So delicious and well worth the value. The hotel has such a beautiful, relaxing enviroment. A truly wonderful experience from start to finish."

Douro Palace Hotel Resort and Spa

10/10 Excellent

"A beautiful place high above the Douro river. Exceptionally helpful staff. The Spa are is included in the room price plus there is an outdoor pool area with a bar which was closed when we visited in Oct. The hotel offers a collection of activities from guided walks, boat trips live music and a variety of wine and port tastings. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes including a wine pairing menu, everything was tasty and well presented. Breakfast was a buffet and included everything you would want however they aren’t geared up for tea drinkers lol. The only small negative is that the room wasn’t cleared of dirty cups or glasses but beds were made and towels changed. If you want to swim inside you must wear a swim cap which are available to buy."
