"My son and I stayed at Hotel Venue Lodge for a week of skiing during the Easter holidays.
The hotel is conveniently located within Val d’Isere, with easy access to the slopes a short walk away. There’s plenty of dining options close by, with other amenities easily accessible.
Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with housekeeping maintaining it everyday.
There’s a nice restaurant and bar, with live music on Friday nights. The staff are attentive and helped with all of our requirements.
The hotel offers a luxury spa, including pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The ski shop is located inside the hotel is ideal and there’s plenty of space for ski and boot storage.
I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone considering a ski holiday in Val d’Isere"
"If your idea of a hotel is one that provides a service then Hotel Ski Lodge is not for you. There are no staff, no receptionist (you have to go to Montana next door for any queries), there is no real communal area or bar or hotel feel and certainly no tea and cakes when you come in from a day's skiing. The room has no amenities other than shampoo, shower gel a dressing gown and slippers (so no safe, no luggage storage, no hanging, no tea and coffee making, no fridge/minibar, no vanity kit, no tissues) although it is cleaned every day. Breakfast is OK to good and we didn't dine in the hotel but the feedback from a friend who did was similar. This is more catered rooms than hotel. Location near the bus stop is good but it is very expensive for what you get (effectively just a room with breakfast) - but then this is Val d'Isere."
"Customer service was outstanding. Reception staff were extremely helpful. Very relaxing pool. Very nice steam room and sauna. The spa staff were excellent and the treatments were first rate. The rooms were very comfortable and cosy. The boot room was spacious. The only slight criticism is that the lockers are not ventilated or heated. The breakfast was very good for a 3* hotel. We ate at the restaurant twice and both meals were excellent. The dining room/breakfast room is more like a cosy salon bar than a formal sit down dining room. The hotel is located in the heart of the village close to amenities and close to the ESF meeting point. We were very happy with our stay at this hotel and I would not hesitate to recommend it. "
"Perfect stay at the Chalet Skadi, first time visitors, family of four. Great location, quick free shuttles all around town and to the lifts. Close enough to easily walk...easier to take the shuttle if you have very young kids. The spa was fantastic, sauna, steam room, cold buckets. Large and comfy lobby with a fire roaring every night. Large ski lockers were a hit for easy access. Our suite was a three bedroom apartment that was first class all the way, very well equipped kitchen and a beautifual design and layout to keep everyone happe."
"Staff were very friendly & helpful. Rooms more spacious than many alpine hotels. Breakfast a little basic but had everything we needed. Spa area very nice."
"Les Crêtes Blanches is an old, dirty and uncomfortable family run hotel. It claims to offer a savoyard family home experience but to deliver that it needs a major renovation of the entire building and an serious upgrade on bedding and bathroom standards. At 400€/night, it is way below market standards of cleanliness and comfort. It's a good example of an establishment taking advantage of high demand to charge whatever they feel. It isn't worth more than 150€/night, and I'm being generous. And to be consistent, customer service is at the same below standard level. "
"The staff was always helpful and so friendly. We loved the breakfast each morning and the ease of using the downstairs ski shop to get outfitted for the slopes each morning. The bar was the perfect place to meet up with friends for a cocktail after a day of skiing. 10/10 would recommend and hope to visit again soon! Thanks Experiemental. "
