Absolutely beautiful B B run by great owners, who serve up a the best scrambled eggs I've ever had. Local pubs are amazing selling great food also! All the shops you will need and a beautiful 10 minute walk up a hill behind the B B to take in the view of the surrounding area. Perfect Stay.

Fantastic hosts and place!
Utterly gorgeous BnB with hosts that could not have been more helpful! We loved our stay here - really comfy rooms and beyond-delicious breakfast, but what really made it special was Melanie & Martin - such great hospitality! We're already looking at our diaries to book again...

Very friendly host and comfortable accommodation. The continental breakfast is excellent with home made cereals and lots of fruit. Parking is on the street but plenty of space during our visit. The bathroom was not en suite but was across a corridor from the bedroom, it was for our exclusive use (not shared). Located near a nice pub that does good pub-style food and easy walk to village centre. Overall a great base to explore the area.

Lovely place
After some confusion over the check in time, this was a lovely stay and we would return for a longer stay! Highlight was the wonderful garden with a path up a hill, and the hospitality.

A home from home.
A lovely B&B. The service provided before & during our stay was excellent. The accommodation was comfortable & stylish, the included breakfast was delicious & of a high quality. I would recommend this B&B

The Perfect Hosts
Our stay started with a warm welcome and help with luggage to the top floor. We were a wedding group and had the whole floor to ourselves which was perfect. We were provided with nice comfortable themed rooms and excellent bathroom facilities. Breakfast was relaxed with plenty of choice and home made produce. Best of all, as others have said, Martin and Melanie are the perfect hosts providing excellent local advice, good food and conversation and Martin's second to none taxi service. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and Martin's taxi service took much of the stress out of meeting our various commitments. I cannot recommend this accommodation too highly!

Marvelous page to stay
A great place to stay in Castle Cary. The room had everything I needed, breakfast was great, and I really appreciated the pick up from the station and lift to the office on the next day. Hosts are super friendly, dogs are great, no complaints. Very high on my list for my next trip.

Everyone was absolutely lovely and so accommodating to our late arrival! The breakfast was incredible and had such a homely vibe. Also they were so lovely with the dog! Will definitely be coming back and soon!!!!

Perfect location for a wedding at North Cadbury Court. Martin and Melanie were great hosts, full of useful tips for whatever we needed in the local area.

The house itself is very well located in Castle Cary, clean and comfortable but what really made Ellesmere House stand out was how incredibly helpful and friendly Melanie and Martin were. Perfect cooked breakfast, information on the area and a lift to and from the station. Martin went above and beyond what I'd expect from a B&B. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely B&B in a nice village
We only stayed one night but it was a lovely experience. The owners were wonderful hosts who put on a feast of gorgeous homemade fresh food for breakfast. We ate in the pub across the road for our evening meal and the food was again very fresh and tasty and the staff very friendly. Our room was beautiful and comfy and we would definitely recommend this as an excellent place to stay in a lovely part of the country.

We had a winderful experience staying at Ellesmere House. The hosts went out if there way to source a travel cot for our young baby which was very kind. The room was comfortable. The best however was the endulgent breakfasts in the morning! Everything you could ever want... from melon, to home made jam, to locally sourced cooked eggs on toast. The hosts are warm, relaxed and welcoming. I totally felt at home. Thank you!

We adored your company and we all said the same thing afterwards - how lovely you both are with the kids saying they'd love to be friends with you both. We felt the same. Thanks for giving Polly so many tips. She adored it - and you. And we all fell in love with Mary. She's the cutest baby ever. If you ever want a weekend break when you can have a bit of time out - we'd all happily play pass the parcel with her and/or babysit. Melanie & Martin.
