"The Kimpton Philadelphia was in a much better location, in my opinion, than the Ritz Carlton, that was also an option for me. Since I'm from NYC, I wanted a quiet neighborhood. The location was great and walking distance to anywhere i wanted to go. it's also excellent for families with kids. At the front desk and reception, Consuela was amazing. She has great customer service, she is friendly, and she is perfect to be promoted to a managerial role. I would recommend her any day to be promoted. There is another staff member namd Kevin that was a problem solver, friendly and customer oriented. I would recommend that he get promoted to a manager role or corporate role because, in my opinon, he would be a perfect fit and a valuable asset to the brand. Don't lose these two talented people, elevate them ."

Despite having a confirmed and fully paid reservation, I was refused check-in upon arrival. During this interaction, Brielle, in the presence of Maria at the front desk and another male front desk employee, verbally agreed that I would receive a full refund for the reservation. Since February 2026, I have stayed at the Old City Marriott several times due to a series of significant medical and mental health complications, all of which are documented in a GoFundMe campaign that I can provide for reference. In mid-February, I was sexually assaulted in my home, which precipitated a severe mental health crisis. In early March, while staying at the Old City Marriott, I experienced a manic episode related to that trauma. During that stay, I was transported by ambulance from the hotel to the Emergency Department at the University of Pennsylvania.
