"Hotel was easy to find , reception staff very helpful. First appearance as we walked into the hotel was everything looked so clean and inviting. Our room was clean , the bed was so comfortable, and pillows just right. My only criticism was I needed a plug near a mirror, to dry , and straighten my hair . Breakfast had plenty of choices and the staff were very good and helpful. We both enjoyed our stay and will definitely be staying there again ."

"We had booked one night’s stay as we were at a show in Nottingham and this served as a good base to go to the show and see family. First impressions from the roadside were good, car park is free and at the rear of the hotel. You then walk around the front to reception, all on a level. We had the option to check in on line, but we checked in on arrival. Check in was efficient and the lady was really friendly and made sure we had all the information we needed. We were on the first floor (room 1). The lift felt a bit dated but did the job. The room was clean, although some old needed in some areas (especially the paint on the bathroom fittings) good number of plug sockets. Good size tv, although it would benefit from being mounted on a bracket on the wall. The bed was really comfortable and we both had a good sleep, although the pillowcases were a strange colour. Shower was good, only small amount of showered gel, so best to take your own. We got a drink in the bar after the show, but the door is locked at 10, so you have to go through reception. Breakfast was good, selection of cereals, orange or apple juice. Selection of teas and filter coffee. Toast/croissants and a buffet style for hot food. The bacon thick and fresh cooked and great scrambled eggs. Some tlc is needed throughout the hotel, but in all we had a good stay. "

"Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had everything we needed - we asked for more green tea at reception which was supplied immediately. Parking - we were very pleased we arrived early on the day (around 10 am) and were able to leave the car in the car park then even though we obviously couldn’t check in. Spaces were at a premium and as we had functions to attend all day that were walkable it was great to have the car secure and not have to worry about getting a space later on. Bed was comfortable but the aircon went off in the middle of the night which was a bit annoying as we got very hot. Breakfast was in a nice airy room with a view of the waterfront. Lots of choice - cooked, pastries, toast, cereal, fruit. Cooked items were not quite as hot as I’d like but cappuccino from coffee machine was delicious. Pleasant staff - shout out for the young lady who had recently broken her jaw - very sweet and friendly. All in all, impressed with hotel and would definitely look to stay with Doubletree Hilton on future travels."

"This hotel was beautiful and the staff were wonderful. Owen at the front desk was always so helpful and kind! Everyone there made our stay lovely. It’s right across the street from Nottingham Castle as well which I loved. Can’t wait to go back again!"

"Could not find our way in to park because of road closures but front office guiding us on the phone! Thanks!! Excellent drinks and knowledgeable bartenders. Visiting from the States but lived in Lincolnshire it was so refreshing to enjoy this beautiful hotel! Thankyou for an amazing experience!"
