But that doesn't happen often in Quito. All this for $38 a night!"

I enjoyed my self-tour of the adjacent monastery that is part of Cusin. No heat but no problem given fireplaces and hot water bottles. Took in the Saturday market in nearby Otavalo - an engaging town to wander about."
