The rooms were great, and the pool was lovely. The staff we met were very pleasant. The only suggestions I would make would be attention to detail, I would recommend some lounge chairs by the pool, full sets of cutlery in the kitchens, drinking water

WORST PLACE ON PLANET....HOTELS.COM SHOULD DELETE
Do yourself a huge favour and don't stay here. I booked this place because while the price was right the place itself is not. We arrived to a door that was open and a window to the main bedroom that was unlockable. I notified the managing agent who thanked me for the information but then did nothing about it the whole time we were there - 5 days. After I booked the place I was sent an email from the managing agent to click here and sign a lease agreement and to click here to pay......all the while I was being told by hotels.com to not give them my credit card details.....I became increasingly irate and while the place wasn't that bad in actuality - the booking process was a nightmare, the kitchen is not much more than a fridge and a microwave and the place is totally insecure. There is no one to meet or greet you or speak to except via email or WhatsApp.....whatevs dude!!! The place is crawling with sand flies and you will be scratching for at least 2 weeks after your stay. We did extend our stay for 1 day simply because no one wants to move once there, otherwise heed my advice and go anywhere but here unless you like to boil your water in a saucepan, lug your valuables around with you always because its unsecureand enjoy scratching like a rabied infested dog from the bugs in the bed and the couch. No wonder the entire apartment complex is up for sale for $749,000US. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL AND NO ONE IS THERE EVER EXCEPT A CAT THAT CONSTANTLY JUMPS THROUGH THE INSECURE

Decent hotel, no front desk and lots of mosquitoe!
Our stay there was ok at best. It’s better to book a place closer to island centre as there are a LOT is mosquitoes in this area. There is a nice restaurant (Suggestion Gourmet) close by which makes the location acceptable. Room was ok, toilet seat was off its hinge. Pool has a lot of dead bugs floating around. The contact person is not on site, nor is there an actual front desk. Thus tour bookings with them is not feasible. With that being said, the contact person (Chantel) was quite helpful and usually responds pretty quick via email or WhatsApp. Check in instructions are sent to you ahead of time so make sure you read it.

Quiet location and property
overall, the place was ok. The two bedroom apartment we stayed in was ok for the money we paid. However, the small bedroom did not have any air conditioning. It was extremely hot. The master bedroom's air conditioning did not work very well. It was difficult to keep the apartment cool.

Was ok
There is no front desk at the property and the property manager did not respond to requests very quickly, she also didn’t bother to come by after she said she would. Overall the place was ok, you get what you pay for. It’s not all that comfortable to relax, broken chairs at the pool and you can hear your neighbours quite well which was frustrating at 6 a.m. We would suggest to spend a little more and stay at a place with better reviews.

It looked like an Apt Bldg.in Belize
There was no office on site - no people around- No contact person. U had to have a code to get in the gate . There was a deluge of Mosquitos in and around the gate attacking you. I ended up having to pay the Taxi -Both ways just to get out of there.When I got to another Hotel that I saw on the computer- before- I went there charged up my phone and called the number to this other hotel and found out their office was in Chile. The Belize number automatically transfers to Chile.They dont have anyone in Belize

We provide our guests with a 24/7 number which is located in Chile. However all of our guests receive the direct mobile number of our Local Resident on the island. Once you book, you receive a welcome and confirmation email and check in instructions. There you will find all the contact information of our Local Manager. We are sorry to hear that you didn't see the information.

The best part about this stay is the operation manager, Chantel. First she welcome us through WhatsApp, give us choices about taking a taxi or walk to our rental, give us advise on how to ease our itchiness from sand flies or fleas, change room when needed & ordering a taxi for us to get back to mainland. She was 24/7 through WhatsApp. I think she is the cream of crop for Mayan Without her we would have change to another place to stay on the island. I hope Mayan Falls knows how valuable she is. Thank you again Chantel.
