"Would not recommend staying here at all. We were literally the only guests staying at this hotel and I’m assuming to save costs, the lights were always shut and nothing was available. In the morning, we had one egg and a bun for breakfast and was left to dine in an empty restaurant. There was not a single person present after cooking and serving us our plat of food. We couldn’t even ask for water or tea refill. The front desk was also extremely unhelpful and incompetent. We are aware cat Tien is inconvenient to get to, and asked about options to leave the hotel to travel to Ho Chi Minh City. We had gone to the jungle for the day and ready to head south. We asked about bus schedules, taxis, private car, what the options were. It was 3:00 pm and they said there are no more buses available. I showed them on the website of another hotel which lists that buses were leaving out of cat Tien every other hour. They made some calls and said they are not available. In the end, I called the other hotel and asked if they could help me arrange transit to travel to Ho Chi Minh City, and they promptly arranged a taxi to pick us up, and dropped us off at a location to take the bus to Ho Chi Minh City. The driver even waited with us until the bus arrived! We were so grateful for their service, and so upset at the staff at the cat Tien jungle lodge. This hotel appears to take large international tour groups and we likely stayed during the off season. Would not stay or recommend this place."
