"This motel exceeded my expectations. The room I stayed in during Mule Days 206) was right up the steps on the corner. There was very little foot traffic in front of my door and I left the door open some because the weather was nice. The room was clean, if a little worn and dated, and the towels were replaced daily. It was convenient to everything I wanted to do in Columbia, TN, downtown, food and festival.
I planned ahead and brought my own coffee maker and coffee plus my favorite pillow which was good since there was not a coffee pot in the room. The bed was comfortable and the sheets appeared clean, so sleep was good!
Breakfast was cereal with toast or bagel, so I went elsewhere. One night when I needed plastic wear to eat my takeout the desk clerk got out what I needed.
To have booked my stay on the day of the beginning of a festival weekend, it turned out very well."
"The hotel is old, it has been painted over, new flooring poorly installed, mattress was very like a sleeping bag on the floor. It felt like a motel that would charge by the hour. There were signs in the lobby about penalty charges for cooking in the room but there was a microwave in the room. Penalty charges for lost/leaving key in the room but when returning key it was just placed in a basket on the counter. I could go on but why? Never again."
"The breakfast was terrible juice machine broken ice machine broken had to go back to front desk and down hall.for ice. The breakfast was false advertised . No protein just cold searl.and milk store bought donuts ."
"The first room we were assigned to (303) had issues. The blinds were broken & crooked, this is right in front of you when you walked in. The phone did not work as well.
We were assigned a different room, from then everything was fine. "
"If you don’t want to offer smoking rooms, don’t offer smoking rooms, don’t just palm off the worst rooms to smokers. When I arrived the room was cold and I couldn’t get the heating to work. I went back to reception and the manager came over, he put the heating dials on one very specific setting and it did get warm, but only for a while then it started blowing cool again. The mattress was okay but the pillows were lumpy and it’s a good thing it was a king bed because I could at least fold the skimpy quilt in half to stay warm in the cold room. The furniture should have been thrown on the local tip, there was no bed side lamp and no convenient place to charge a phone near the bed. It’s a shame you can’t award minus stars. "
"Love everything about my stay, best staff ever! Friendly, great customer appreciation and service. Room was clean, well stocked. Will definitely stay there again!"
