Hotel Catedral

"I don’t understand why the staff had to make a copy of my passport. It made me feel uncomfortable."
Hotel Zócalo Central

"The hotel itself is centrally located in the heart of the city. The staff was absolutely fabulous! They went above and beyond expectations to help us with anything we desired. We were in town for the Harry Styles concert and they even created a special poster for my wife to commemorate the occasion. They have a fabulous roof top restaurant that overlooks the plaza in front of the beautiful Mexico City Cathedral. The food is very special and excellent. The hotel also has a morning complimentary breakfast which again is outstanding!"

Historico Central Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I understand there are several hotels under this name in central historical district. We stayed at the Simón Bolívar No. 28 address. The hotel was just amazing. Yes, the room was small, but no different than we expect in any large city. The location really was in the historical district, and on a street featuring all the musical instrument stores. When we arrived, they handed us a glass of mezcal as a greeting. They went on to explain that at the little cafe counter at the front, we could get free beer and snacks (some substantial sandwiches), although mixed drinks were about U.S. $7.00. A great breakfast selection with espresso drinks outperforming Starbucks was also free. In other words, you could stay in Mexico for just the cost of the hotel. There are unlimited supplies of free water, and the hotel even offered a free three-hour tour of the old city that was deeply informative and delightful. All the staff were wonderful to us, and I highly recommend the hotel. I so hope we can return."
