"We absolutely loved our stay at this intimate and lovely hotel. The staff was so friendly and had wonderful recommendations for restaurants and directions to attractions.
The only problem for me was the lighting in our room was so dim it was hard to do my face. We will definitely be back if possible!"
"This is an utterly charming hotel in beautiful Bayeux. Upon arrival Clemance helped us to rent a car for the next day so that we could visit the D-Day landing. We stupidly thought we could uber everywhere and we were so grateful that Clemance took it upon herself to enquire as to what are plans were. The room was very spacious and clean. We did not dine at the hotel but we did enjoy a couple of drinks there one evening. It's a perfect place to relax and I would be delighted to recommend this restaurant. "
"Bayeux is a cute little town. This hotel is a little out of the way, but just a short walk into town or to the train station (less than 15 minutes). The rooms are small, but that's typical for Europe. "
"Villa Lara was exceptional in all categories above!! If you are spending time in Normandy or Bayeaux, hands down this is the only place to stay. Don’t even consider another hotel. The location is awesome. The rooms were very comfortable, updated and clean. The hotel staff especially Julian were outstanding. Even Phillip the owner went out of his way to take special care of us!! Hôtel Villa Lara exceeded all our expectations and made our 3 nights in Bayeaux wonderful!!! "Very unique hotel! We got to stay in the "stables!" It was beautiful converted into a nice room for 3 with a kitchenette and it was very clean. Do make sure you request breakfast when you check-in for the next day if you will be wanting it. This needs to be "pre-ordered."
