"Excellent as alwsys"

"I enjoyed my stay but I think it's more of a 3 star than 4 star hotel. I booked a king bed and found the room very narrow with the bed wedged up to the window and only accessible from one side - ok if youre a solo traveller but it's inconvenient as a couple. Generally the place felt clean- apart from the noodles someone had tipped down a sink in the ladies toilets. Breakfast was just ok - for expedia/hotel to say its popular with solo travellers & then for the hotel to only offer a breakfast rate for two people when booking, instead of one is not really on. I ended up paying the full price for breakfast when i checked in as there was no solo option ie. I paid double the rate if two had booked breakfast with their room. Staff were friendly and seemed happy to work there which is a good sign."

"If you book a Pod you have a 2 single mattress bed, 5 foot up, near the ceiling up a ladder. There is barely any space for 1 person to stand. There is nowhere to sit and I would not stay in a Pod again. There was no kettle in the room and none was available. The communal showers and toilets were clean as was the whole hotel. "

"The hotel is in an excellent location any The Metro is nearby to access all areas of Rotterdam. In the same building there is the food hall which has a variety of food outlets in it. The bar in the hotel only opens on Friday and Saturdays (out of season?)"

"Great location. Right across from the central train station. Also close to other public transportation. Check-in was easy and fast. The staff was very courteous and professional. The gym was adequately equipped. I would recommend this hotel to anyone."

"I recently stayed at Hotel Port while visiting Rotterdam. The room was clean, modern and comfortable – a great base for exploring the city. We requested a late checkout as we were attending a nearby music festival and hoped to have a lie-in the next morning. The receptionist told us it would be €15 to check out at 1pm, which we agreed to. Unfortunately, the following morning the cleaner was talking loudly on their mobile phone right outside our door, so we didn’t really get the relaxed morning we had planned. When we checked out, a different member of staff asked us to pay a further €15, saying we had stayed longer than we had paid for. We explained we had already agreed and paid the late checkout fee, and that any miscommunication wasn’t our fault. Despite this, we were still told we needed to pay. It wasn’t about the amount, but it felt unreasonable to be charged again due to what seemed like an internal issue. This slightly overshadowed what was otherwise a great trip."
