"Beautiful property! Quaint inn located a few minutes from the center of Woodstock . The inn has 10 rooms between 2 houses , breakfast from 8-9 am , and plenty of room to sit and take in the views . Bed was very comfortable slept great . Would definitely return and recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in this must visit area of beautiful Vermont. Oh and there is a covered bridge too !! Bonus : saw a bald eagle fly over the river while sitting in Adirondack chair on the lawn enjoying a glass of wine and the views ❤️. Check in is at 3 pm and was smooth and easy . Kind owner who recently bought the property. "

"I sincerely doubt there's a better place to stay this side of heaven. The ambiance is gorgeous old-world but the accommodations are modern. And oh, the bed. It was truly like sleeping on a cloud. All this is orchestrated by the masterful proprietor, Heather. We felt like we'd known her forever. She's warm, welcoming and hilarious. The weather was terrible and I was there in Woodstock to promote my novel but I wouldn't have missed experiencing The Village Inn for the world. In addition to her warm hospitality, Heather is an amazing chef. The breakfast was outstanding every morning and please don't miss dinner. Wow. Her staff, especially the adorable and attentive, Charlotte are equally wonderful. You can feel the love, Heather has for her chosen profession. Get to know her while you're there. We've been all over the world and I have to say, The Village Inn in Woodstock, New York is up there in my top five places to stay. "
