Villas in Charlotte Amalie

"The property itself is beautiful and the room was very nice, but the resort is not run well. One of us got food poisoning the first night due to undercooked shellfish and spent an entire day of vacation sick in our room. We notified the hotel, they said they would follow up, but they never did. Two nights later, another guest we met got the same undercooked shellfish in the same restaurant, but fortunately she did not eat any of it so did not get sick. This should not have happened a second time, we should have at least gotten an apology, and definitely wevshould not have had to pay the high price for that meal. The food in general was poor, the service was very slow, many choices did not exist, and the servers did not seem at all motivated. All of the prices were very inflated, so we expected that guests would be better treated. We tried to eat outside the hotel as much as possible. The workers were nice enough, but just unresponsive, and that is coming from what seems like an attitude from management of nobody really cares."

"The rooms were very small. They were clean. The owner wipe water from the floor with a towel which was the same type in the room. I wondered if the guest towel are used for the same purpose. The towels were very thin. There was rust on the faucet to the sink in the pool area. I had a three night. stay but checked out after one night. I would not recommend this hotel. "

"The bar staff, waiters, cleaning personnel and bell man were very friendly. The ladies at behind the main desk were not friendly and to be honest always acted like they were annoyed you were there."

"Good morning, in trying to give you the biggest and fairest picture of this property, I would say that overall we had a pleasant trip. The staff is extremely friendly and quick to respond to any of your needs. We felt the hotel had charm and a beautiful view as promised. However, we also felt that the facility was very outdated and in need of many repairs. During our four day stay, we reassigned three different rooms due to various issues. The first room which is literally numbered number one is directly under the kitchen where the staff had been cleaning up until 12 AM running kitchen equipment and banging on the floor. We got no sleep that night. We were then moved to another room which was very quaint but very small. At about 10 o’clock that night there was no hot water for a shower. Then the last two days we moved to a room that had a nice view and was more accommodating, but the majority of the lightbulbs and lamps did not work and the toilet had no pressure. Along with that no hot water for two of the showers that I took.. we talked to others that we’re staying at the hotel and found many of the same issues however, some were pleasantly pleased. As I mentioned, we’re very grateful for the staff for their help and their kindness. Unfortunately, in my opinion, I would feel a little uncomfortable, giving my recommendation to this property until some of the things have been corrected. Thank you so much."

"There was much to be desired but that did not take away from the overall pleasant experience I’ve had while staying in the area. The hotel is located is situated in the capital which is a great and historic area with a nearby ferry, picturesque views, various activities and friendly, helpful locals. The staff is responsive, welcoming, kind and as helpful as can be."

"This guesthouse was amazing. It had a beautiful view with a patio. It was clean. My friend and i, 2 females felt very safe here. We loved staying here. Will defiantly come back "
