I have been staying at this hotel for 24 years- it has never been better. The staff are delightful, helpful and very professional. The food excellent and the pool setting is the best in Yangon. Helen Gunthorpe MD

It's easy to stay at a generic box type hotel. The Strand has pedigree (See Raffles and E&O). It's a beautiful building with high ceilings. Beautifully decorated and clean. Very pleasant staff. Quiet and tranquil. Stay here for your first visit to Yangon, and you can always stay at a generic, branded hotel on a subsequent visit.
