One of the best places to begin your tour of Antalya is the city’s old town. Known as Kaleiçi, the neighbourhood is a maze of cobbled streets, restored Ottoman mansions and pretty squares. Visit the 18th century Tekeli Mehmet Paşa Mosque, the main square and the imposing 2nd century Hadrian's Gate.
Another beautiful area to explore is the city’s old harbour. From the 2nd century to the 20th century, the harbour was the commercial hub of the city. Today it’s home to a great choice of boutiques, bazaars and cafes, making it a great stop for an afternoon’s exploration.
