It is an older motel but very clean and bed was comfortable. This was a quiet and safe place to rest.

I'm so excited we chose to stay here. Not only was the price point solid, but the quality of our stay was wonderful and left us well rested. The bed was super comfortable, showers were hot with great water pressure, it was quiet early in the night even with it on a main road, clean and well cared for, and the location was perfect for getting around. We even ran late and the front desk had a plan in case we missed them to check in. Will absolutely stay again.

This is a small, family run motel. Always clean and tidy. Rooms are very small, and it is older. Great place to stay for a short visit.

Mid-week stay, summer vacay

The Monarch was just what I was looking for. The room was cozy, the bed was comfortable, the location was a close drive to downtown Cheboygan and the waterfront, and the AC kept me cool in the middle of a heat wave. Especially appreciated was Linda's kind customer service. I will plan to book the Monarch again on my next Cheboygan visit.
