"Good sized room (classic double) although bathroom will be too much on the cosy side for some. Friendly staff, hotel was very clean everywhere and the breakfast was good and bar area was nice. Only issue we had was the paper thin walls between rooms. We were watching tv at a reasonable volume around 10.30pm and had the room next door banging on the wall. We thought they were being a bit unreasonable but as we went to sleep, realised we could hear the person in the other adjacent room snoring as if he were in ours. Might only be a certain number of rooms like this, but we were in Room 128 if you’re reading this, hotel manager!"

"The hotel is in a good location with great facilities, spa, car parking, good bar. The rooms are a bit tired and could benefit from a refurb but overall it is very good value for money. We enjoyed our stay and the spa facilities and our room had a lovely view."

"Beautiful hotel. Lovely breakfast. Restaurant staff were fabulous. Reception staff seemed a little bit hassled & were generally a tad abrupt with guests on check out. Concierge very helpful. £40 parking is quite steep bearing in mind it isn’t particularly secure. The spa is lovely, but hotel guests are limited on when they can use it without paying £70 a head extra - this wasn’t clear prior to arrival. Times are 7-9pm & 8-10am. We had a dinner reservation in town at 7.30pm & needed to leave early for commitments at home. This meant we had a very limited time to enjoy one of the draws of the hotel. Gym is open 24 hours and is well equipped. Treadmills - one was out of order & the second of three was running slowly when we tried to use it. Overall a great stay, but I would expect that for the price paid and the rating of the hotel. The niggles wouldn’t put me off staying again, but they might make me look elsewhere first. "

"Hotel condition and location really good however both being in our seventies, with two full sized suitcases, we were really surprised and seriously disappointed to have been given a half landing room having to lug our suitcases up and down six-seven stairs by ourselves!! Checkin clerk didn’t seem aware or concerned. "

"very good location for exploring Bath. Quiet at night. room spacious and had everything we needed. Complimentary fresh cookie at reception was a nice touch. Breakfasts good. All staff very friendly and helpful"
