Amazing host, great location, tasty breakfast

We felt very welcome by the host who was happy to offer tips on what to do in the town. We came for the Science Festival and the location was great (also for other Cheltenham festivals) with the main venues nearby. The town centre was also close, so great also for a walk around the town. The room we booked (small double with shared bathroom) was, as in the name, small but comfy and sharing the bathroom was working well, as it was shared only with a person staying in a single room (and having a sink in the room also helped). Breakfast was very tasty and the host was happy to chat. Highly recommended and thank you for warm welcome!

Friendly, clean and modern in a great location

Benton's is ideally located a 5 minute walk from the town centre. The owner met us on arrival and showed us to the room, which was clean and tidy with a large comfy bed, TV, tea and coffee, and an en-suite bathroom. Breakfast was tasty and freshly cooked to order. I'd happily stay here again.

Fantastic find in Cheltenham

Dont be put off by the unprepossessing exterior, you will get a fantastic welcome and the rooms are large, and comfortable and clean. Both rooms I booked were ensuite. Breakfast was wonderful. The chap who looks after you is charming, extremely helpful, and nothing appears to be too much trouble. Felt like very good value too . I would highly recommend it !

Well situated accommodation

Christian was very welcoming and helpful. I had a room on the back which was very quiet. Spacious room, plenty of instant hot water in the bathroom. Breakfast was very good indeed. Christian was most obliging with requests for alternative or additional items. Easy walk into the town. Plenty of excellent eateries within a short distance

Nice friendly place to stay

Really enjoyed the stay at Bentons. Met the owner who was friendly and very knowledgable re the local area. Really close to Cheltenham centre with some nice bars and restaurants close by. Room was a spacious high ceilinged Victorian space with a good shower. Bed was comfortable and room nicely decorated.

Nice guest house in the Cotswolds

I had an extra day after a workshop and I stayed at this pleasant and very affordable guest house. The room was large and has its own bathroom with shower (but oddly no shower curtain). The proprietor, Christian, runs everything himself, and is cheery helpful guy. It was a nice change just to arrive and get into the room and leave by just giving the key back, without the normal hassle of checking in and out.

Friendly and accommodating

Website advised check in after 2pm but we had a wedding at 12pm, rang and asked if we could at least get keys before. Manager advised to give him 45min to prepare and let us check in early so didn't have to get changed in a services and leave wedd to check in. Really friendly and tidy enough. Great for the money paid.

A handsome host, nice breakfat

An old traditional building, my room upper floor was small which suits me with small baggage. Double bed comfortable. Facing the street noise is inevitable plugged my ears. Toilet flushes strongly.

Bentons Guesthouse is in an excellent position for shopping and restaurants. Christian, our host, received us warmly and was extremely helpful all during our stay. Our room was large light and pleasantly furnished. The full English breakfast was wonderful and served with a smile. It is a real home away from home with a friendly atmosphere and we will definitely stay there again if we return to Cheltenham.

Ideal for the Cheltenham Festivals

Great place to stay for the Cheltenham Festivals. Beautiful and comfortable room at a very reasonable rate. Breakfast was tasty and prepared me for the day ahead. Have stayed in several B&B in Cheltenham over the years and this was the best yet.

前日、ホテルから確認の丁寧なメールが届きました。到着時に連絡をする予定になっていた現地在住者からホテルに連絡が入っており、そのことで大変ご親切な対応をしていただきました。バス亭からも近く、部屋も清潔、イングリッシュブレックファーストは味・量ともに大変満足でした。バス・トイレは共用ですがこちらも大変清潔感がありました。機会があればまた是非利用したいです。

City break

We stayed at Bentons B&B for a 2 night city break. Whilst we turned up early before our room was ready, it was no trouble for us to leave our bags there before going out to explore. When we came back later checking in was easy and Christian was very helpful and friendly. We were given a front door key so that we could come and go as we pleased. Christian provided us with plenty of suggestions as to places where we could eat out, and also places to visit, and he cooks a fab full English breakfast each morning if that's what you like! The room was spacious and spotless with an ensuite showeroom, and whilst on road parking near the guest house is metered, a 5 or 10 minuute walk provides free on road parking. It is only a 5 to 10 minute strole into town, and there is plenty to do within walking distance without having to use the car. There are several parks and we particularly enjoyed walking round the Montpelier district which has lovely shops and plenty of choices for eating out. We had a very enjoable few days and would definitely stay at Bentons again if we came back to Cheltenham. Great value for money. Thank you Christian for your hospitality.
