"The hotel overal is beautiful. The food and amenities were amazing as well. The staff who help with luggage and the front desk were very helpful and stopped at nothing to ensure you had the best stay. The waiters in the restaurants however need more training. They take a very longtime to bring drinks or off any help often bringing the wrong order. This would not have been an issue if it were once or twice. But it was all the time at all the restaurants. Often no one ever comes to your table to see what you want to order. But everything else was amazing."
"Extremely disappointing stay at LUX* Le Morne. While the property positions itself as a luxury resort, the experience fell far short of that standard.
A major issue was the presence of a large number of cats roaming freely across the property, including around and inside restaurant areas. This was not disclosed anywhere on the website or booking platforms. This is particularly concerning as my wife is allergic to cats and became extremely uncomfortable and anxious throughout the stay. She barely stepped out of the room for most of the trip, which completely defeated the purpose of a holiday and made it feel like a waste of money. This should have been clearly communicated before booking so guests can make an informed decision.
Cleanliness was also a concern. Ants were noticed in multiple areas, and even the coffee machine appeared unclean and poorly maintained. Overall hygiene standards felt inconsistent and not in line with a premium property.
Food was another disappointment. Prices were very high—comparable to fine dining or Michelin-level expectations—but the quality, taste, and presentation were only average at best, in some cases closer to casual roadside standards.
The room air conditioning was old and ineffective, making comfort difficult in the tropical climate. Basic room infrastructure clearly needs upgrading.
While the location is scenic, the service, maintenance, food quality, and hygiene do not justify the rates charged. NOT RECOMMENDED FROM MY SIDE!"
"Trust strongly advice to stay . Feels like heaven. No word to describe. Best ever. Food, drink, nice weather, close to airport, close to the beach. Great great great🙏👍"
"Breakfast menu offered a large varied choice to suit lots of tastes and requirements.

Hotel Riu Palace Mauritius - All Inclusive - Adults Only
6/10 Okay
"Quality of property did not match the price, the food was terrible, the WiFi was shoddy, and there were no blankets on the bed — only sheets — so we were cold all night. We came from Lux Le Morne, which was truly luxurious, and the difference in quality was stark. This is the second Riu I’ve stayed at and the first was similar, so I’m inferring that this is just the brand and will not try another one."
"Wonderful 2-week stay at Aanari Hotel. My room was clean and spacious and had a walk-in shower. The room was equipped with everything I needed including shower gel, shampoo, hand wash, towels, fridge, air con, and tea making facility. Beach towels are changed at reception. I slept beautifully on the large king-sized bed which was very comfortable. The staff really made my holiday - special thank you to Hans Sumputh the Manager and Rikesh the restaurant waiter for your highly efficient service and your genuine care, attention and hospitality. Thank you to the reception for all your assistance; also to the chef for all the good variety of tasty food we enjoyed and the room cleaner for keeping my room immaculate. Breakfast was plentiful and included scrambled eggs and so much freshly cut tropical fruits. The sega entertainment on Mauritian themed night was lovely. The location was ideal with Flic-en-Flac beach opposite and Carrefour supermarket next door. It has a spa and an outdoor swimming pool which I didn’t have time to use as I preferred the beach and had a hired car to visit all over the island. Free parking was provided on-site behind the hotel. The price was very affordable for half board. This hotel is a gem and I cannot recommend it highly enough for exceeding my expectations. I will definitely come back."
