I stayed at the property for 5 nights + 1 additional night. Based on the overall quality of the property and the amenities provided, I would rate it as a 4-star hotel rather than a 5-star property. The breakfast was good, and the restaurant staff were nice. The twin beds, however, were comparatively small and not very comfortable. I would appreciate the floor manager, Mr. Kanadasan, who was very helpful and arranged a better room for us from the third room onward. The property appears to be short of floor staff. Although the existing staff do their best to assist guests, the waiting time can be quite long during peak hours, particularly in the afternoon.

The property may have been upgraded over time, but my room definitely wasn’t. Floor hardwood was really in bad condition, doors had dirt which looked like wasn’t cleaned. Bathroom had minor leaks. Overall felt like this property was a 5 star from yesteryear. I did see construction and upgrades in progress but I paid full premium for this room. Plus points: breakfast was really good, proximity to the consulate.

The room was of a decent size but had a misty smell. We mentioned about it only on the next morning, and the staff apologized and suggested that had we reported when we first noticed the smell, they would have moved us to another room. Overall, the facility is good and easily accessible. I would still recommend, irrespective of the minor inconvenience given the other benefits it offers due to the proximity to the key areas and businesses in the city.
