"1) Checkin details were not provided - I had to contact Hotels.com and wait ±1hr outside in the windy street to get these. Checkin was 4pm but I couldnt get in until 90 mins later. 2) Once inside the building; Entrance hall filthy with full black bags in corner, wall staining, filthy carpets, laundry cages strewn. No-one around at all, felt very unsafe. 3) Once inside the flat, it felt like someone had just left in a rush, but I couldnt be sure until I had gone through the apartment. Spooky....

"The Crown was even more fabulous than expected. Beautiful decor, very helpful staff, great vibe, gorgeous outside area, amazing room, and perfectly located in the town. The breakfast was delicious and a good variety of dishes. I particularly liked the Bloody Mary ;) Would definitely stat here again."

"Nothing majorly wrong with stay, staff pleasant,helpful and friendly. Rooms could do with a bit of a deep clean, but passable, although my room did not get serviced for the 3 nights I stayed, despite putting the sign on the door. ( reception said there was a new housekeeping team) Yes, rooms/building looking a little dated and tatty around the edges, but for the price paid is acceptable. Breakfast basic, tea/coffee, orange juice, cereal and toast, but again for the price point absolutely fine. Lovely quiet room with a veiw over farmers fields, petrol station with little shop and a Indian restaurant right next door."
