"Clean room, very kind staff, and omg the spa tub in the king suite was AMAZING - I basically lived in it on & off lol. My boyfriend and I had booked the smoking suite room however when we got there they were all booked. The staff and manager actually allowed us to turn a non-smoking room into a smoking one! I was really blown away with the customer service. Will absolutely stay again! "

"The stay was amazing! This is one of my favorite hotels esp for an affordable getaway for two 😇 breakfast is great, rooms are clean, very comfy and cozy. Porches are great esp overlooking the woods. Only downside, no late checkout option, and then the coffee was not the greatest. Not sure if it was end of the pot or old milk, but that was the only downsides!"

"I like the fact that the heat work and the air conditioner work no bugs in a place no stuff left behind from the last person that was in the rooms that was a good I give them a plus as in price and convenience"

"I stayed at the Ameristar East Chicago for 21 nights over 11 stays in fall 2025, travelling for business. It doesn't have everything (breakfast) and is in an odd location. But it was half or less than hotels in Hyde Park, had free parking, big rooms, was always clean and quiet, and the front desk staff was awesome. Shout out to Danica, who was not only a joy but who directed me to the rooms with the best wifi."
