Tidy and welcoming property just outside of Old Town. I found that it was not well known by name for taxis and such, but that the address is very easy for them to find. In order to catch a ride, you may need to walk about 500m toward Old Town. Convenient location, friendly staff.

Hotel is nothing like in the pictures. It's immediately along the road with a lot of road noise. The bathroom was all in one so no separate bathtub and everything is soaked after a shower. Quite small and desperately needs renovating. Breakfast was barely a breakfast. Very disappointed. Glad only spent one night and a short night at that. Context: American, stayed with my wife on our way to an elephant sanctuary

Nice hotel near Saturday night market
Clean and spacious room but balcony's table and chairs is dirty as it faces the road. Wished that there is some chairs in the room.

Convenient and Quaint Boutique hotel
Wua Lai Boutique hotel is very quaint and cute. We chose to stay here because we were able to either bike ride (borrowed hotel bikes for free) or walk to the nearby temples. We also stayed here because both of our excursions (1- "Asia Scenic Thai cooking school 2) Patara elephant farm") were able to pick us up and drop us off free of charge. Wual Lai, has clean rooms, beds are somewhat on the hard side. They serve a ver small continental breakfast in the morning, which is a good start to the day. The front desk clerk is helpful in area enquieries and provides you with a map. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay and reccommend it to others. Note, there is no elevator here so, I recommend asking for a room on floor 2; otherwise pack light. We stayed here for 3 nights in a Superior room with Queen bed.

Not a good hotel
This hotel has poor cleanliness & services. Dirty lobby and toilet. Very noisy environment as it is close to main road. There is no restaurant in this hotel and room cleaning is poor standard.

Good but too high
The place is good and near to Saturday market and Chiang mai gate market. The room is clean and staffs are good but there is no elevator so mind that. And the price is too high compare to other hotes in Chiang mai. I would stay other hotel.

Beautiful clean and comfortable room. The only negative is the bathroom. There is absolutely NO privacy. The frosted glass door doesn't reach the ceiling, so you can hear everything....

We had no hot water or phone inside the room. They later switched our room and we did get hot water. We paid for a third bed and they gave us a mattress on the floor. The only saving grace is the location.

The reception so nice,hotel is brand new.
I didn't stay there cos I asking for lower floor but they reserved for me the fourth floor I have knees problems so the front desk so nice that he said I told hotel.com about this problem And he will give me Raincheck. So I reporting to hotel.com now that can I stay there next time I'm in Chiangmai

Lovely hotel close to the old city. Only downside was that we stayed for two nights and the room was never serviced. Other than that a lovely hotel, the room was very nice.

Great new hotel
Great new little boutique hotel, located on the edge of the south side of the square everything is in easy reach. The rooms are modern, clean and great value for money. The staff are very helpful too.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is clearn. However, I need a refund for the rent difference for 3 nights, downgrading from a suite to superior room because the air conditioner of the suite I reserved broke down.

All was great accept brekfest it is very poor. there's one more thing, this hotel is situated on a very busy and noisy street all night long so there's no chance to have a good sleep,

Good small hotel design and service for the price
This hotel situates on the Wua Lai road and right in the middle of the village that is well known for silverwares. Every Saturday, there will be a walking street event so could be the right time for someone. The service is great and the hotel is very new with lovely mini breakfast. For the price, it's really worth a try. However, the hotel bathroom design is not suitable for friends to stay in the same room, I would suggest the hotel to fix this by perhaps use some curtain or frosted sticker to cover the see through.

Awesome service from staffs! But there is no lift so if you stay att he 4th level, it may be quite a feat to carry luggages up. Also, heated water may not be available at night and wifi is very weak.

Well recommended hotel
Lovely hotel with class and reasonably priced. I like the room, but with a minor comment: it would be nice to have a small table in the corner to put some stuffs. The staff are friendly, which is a general trait of the people in Chiang Mai. The hotel is not far from the airport. It is located on the main road and transportation is accessible and convenient: cab, red jeep and a 3-wheeler Tuk Tuk. Pratu Chiang Mai Market is about 10-minutes walk, with a variety of street food (ready made and freshly cooked food) and fresh fruits. I am pleased that the hotel is near where I had the best therapeutic massage. I will definitely recommend this hotel. It may not be in the City centre, but Wua Lai Boutique Hotel is quiet and clean, and transportation is not a problem.

I left my heart in Wua Lai !
The best boutique hotel i have ever stayed! Warm and friendly staffs, feels like a family! Although not near the city, lots of transportation right in front of the hotel. Tour desk inside the hotel can book you anywhere you want. This hotel is very new, and I think the only one with such a relaxing ambiance. It's fair to say I left my heart in WUA LAI.. I hope I could come back someday.. Thank you to Arm , Nung Ning and the rest of the Wua Lai family. Stay as warm and friendly as you are !

Great hotel
My room and the hotel in general were lovely. Everything is clean and bright with lots of white finishes. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room included basic amenities -- coffee, tea, toiletries. No toothbrush though. It was freezing cold in Chiang Mai but the room was comfortably warm. My room was on the third floor and there was no elevator but the staff member carried my bag up to my room. The balcony was great but it would've been nice to have a chair or something to sit on :)

All staff is extremely kind and helpful. Great location, it is near the old town, food market, rental motorbikes, and so many old temples. The suite room is very big and the price is great! Really recommend!

Very nice hotel, the staff were speaking good english and was helpful with every question. Besides a really small breakfast and that we had to walk a bit to get to the festivities at the Loy Krathong-festival. The saturday walking street is just out the door, but we arrived on a saturday so we didn't get the full experience. Upon arrival there were a lot of dead bugs in the room, but the next day they cleaned it. A good stay!

Hübsches Hotel in Altstadt- nähe
Sauberes und stylisches kleines Stadthotel (ca 10 Zimmer). Befindet sich ca 5 Gehminuten von der Altstadt - in der Wua Lai road direkt vor dem Hotel findet Samstags ein night market statt, welcher die gleichen Stände beinhaltet wie der bekannter (und dadurch touristischere) Sunday night market. Im Hotel waren sowohl die Minibar, als auch Frühstück und Fahrradverleih inklusive.

白っぽくて清潔感があるホテルです。エレベーターがないです。ロビーはオップンカフェみたいな感じですが、カフェはやっていません。あの土曜日夜市はすぐ目の前にあります。トカゲとかはしょっちゅう見かけます。

Quite new and comfy for the price
We stayed for 4 nights in both superior room and suite. Hotel is around 10 minutes walk to. Chiangmai gate. Transportation are easily within reach. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, however, lacking some desk or space for placing small items or luggage. No elevator and the street is quite busy with cars at all times. Overall nice and happy stay.

設施简陋，房间竟然没座椅，水喉松脱，不似新房该有的设备，最令人反感是卫生，竟连续两天没有打扫房间，明明吩咐枱前进房打扫。。

超值酒店，近星期六市集
如果選擇逛Saturday night market的話，這酒店是首選。職員有禮，願意解答問題，可以浸浴。如由機場坐shuttle bus (每位40泰銖)酒店位置由於不容易找，最好準備泰文和英文酒店名稱及地址。

酒店旁有美味湯麵
酒店沒什麼設施，但我住的是最基本的房間，內裡的空間也很足夠，而且還有露台和非常整潔。看到其他人評價這裡太嘈吵，因為週六夜市就在下面。我的房間在三樓，不是對正大街，在星期六晚不覺得有什麼聲音，反而平日晚上會聽到兩三部比較吵的車聲。 我訂的不包括早餐，未能評價。 員工不是很親切，但有基本禮貌。
