I spent few days here. Very quiet at this moment. Would like to see it crowded because there is kind of room for happenings but too quiet at this moment. Staff is responding quickly. My room is okay for the price.

Very quiet, room clean. Style renewal could be good. The main point i dont appreciate is that i lost an entire day at immigration office for nothing because the hostel never sent the TM30 required by authorities and dont answer the phone nor return calls. I will have to lose another day and wait here three days for no reasons except that there is no service related to that phone number of the hostel. By monday, i will have rent another place where theres a reception desk with ssomeone there to do the paper work and answer the phone

Great Stay!
Was a lovely stay, Herbert who owned the guest house was very lovely and helped us book an amazing elephant experience as he could provide us with a discount. Room was good and clean. Breakfast was lovely, best pancakes I’ve had in a very long time!!

Reed policies 4 people or more in room you can have aircon and what was not clean and there is toilet-paper but you want full service with shampoo soap towels for 94 thb per night. Start saving some money before you go on holiday so you can sleep in a hotel

The budget is still nice compared to others. It has its own bathroom and you’ll still have the comfort of privacy. The owners are nice as well.

Great value for money!
Great guesthouse, really good value for money!! We had a budget room with just a fan and the room stayed surprisingly cool enough! Basic comfy rooms with everything you need. Good breakfast too. Really helpful owner and staff, plenty of trips to recommend and help you book and ideas of where to go. Only thing that would have improved the stay slightly is housekeeping to empty the bins daily from the rooms.

I stayed here as it was convenient for visiting friends and although it's tucked away a bit, this made it quiet and secluded bur still walkable for my needs. My room was a good size with an enormous bed and a small ensuite basic bathroom. Easy access for those staying out late, as I did on a few occasions and the early check in of 7am is an absolute treasure in the hotel/hostel world as many trains arrive very early in the morning. Nice owners and availability to buy a good breakfast at a very reasonable price. Would use it again.

Thought the place was great until we extended our stay by booking online. Since this is a budget guesthouse, we didn't bother to ask for second roll of toliet paper until we rebooked for the fourth night. It was like I was asking for a free night. If someone doesn't want to pay commission to online bookings then don't have the option. I booked this place for the private room which was great for the price (clean with a private bathroom) and the location. We ended up moving to another place instead of extending our stay here a second time. I understand no one wants to pay extra fees but don't be a poor sport when someone books online to save on atm charges for cash.

It was definitely cheap and the location wasn't bad. However, it was really quite dingy and somewhat dirty feeling. Plus it only had a fan and no AC, which made sleeping pretty uncomfortable...

Reasonable but not great
Dutch Guesthouse has primarily dorms and the looks reflect that: very simple and basic. We paid 3$ extra for air conditioning; we did not notice this was not available and did not expect this as the place was announced as a 3 star hotel. Should we have realized this we would have taken the "real 3 star" hotel we booked thereafter, which was just 2$ more considering the surcharge. The location is off the main street but that also has the advantage that it is more quiet. And it is on walking distance of a few small restaurants - good enough for us. The Dutch owner spends quite some time to explain young backpackers where to go and what to do. I would therefore recommend this property to those guests as you will not find that service in most other places in the low cost category, where they usually do not speak English.

Amazing! no other word to explain!
Staying at Dutch Guesthouse was nothing but a real blessing. For that price, our expectations were not very high, but we were amazingly surprised by everything. 1-Customer service: hosts Harry from Netherland and is Thai wife Noy are just top notch. Harry is always there to answer any question you can have, will be pleased to book trips for you at a discounted price. He also cooks some of his home country snacks that you can order(craving for his fries right now!!). Noy takes care of the Thai cuisine. OMG just amazing (try the crispy noodles, simply yummy). And at the same price or less than restaurants. We ended up eating there every day, which was not our plan... but just too delicious. 2-Cleanliness. Very clean room, hot water, AC,etc all working A1. 3- Location. 5 minutes walk from night market, many nice restaurants at walking distance, about 30 minutes walk(if you don't like walking, many tuktuk everywhere)from old Chiang Mai,15 minutes from Chinese market, many temples also close. I sincerely thank Harry and Noy for making our staying so unforgettable. I will definitely go back to Dutch Guesthouse when we will visit Chiang Mai (because we sure will). Thanks, thanks and again thanks!!!

Absolutely wonderful hosts ... Nothing was too little to ask for, the man who owned it was lovely. We didn't sleep well at all because we could hear everything from the adjacent room and it wasn't pleasant and the bed was hard and uncomfortable. Also the shower was broken. Go there on a budget for warm hospitality but don't expect much.

Amazing value for money
As the guesthouse only opened at the start of April, everything was brand new and very clean. The location wasn't quite where it said it was on the map but after speaking to Harry, the owner, we learnt it had only been on Expedia for 3 days, I'm sure this has been sorted now. The staff were very friendly and the food they serve is delicious! Would 100% stay again.

A nice place to stay, but...
First of all: there are some better ways to tell the guests not to smoke in the room. Currently, the owners threaten to call the police and inform that, I quote, "your out of the guesthouse anyway". This poor-worded piece of paper put a serious shade on what would be otherwise a very pleasant stay, made us feel like the guests are a burden for the owners and we are rather unlikely to go there again - even though we don't smoke at all. The room was very comfortable, although some of the furniture had seen some better days. It was perfectly clean, though! If you're not a smoking "criminal", I would recommend this place for a night or two.

more than 50% off the bed sheats have burning holes a matras with a hole off 10 cm and a pillow almost complete burnt. But nobody smokes in the room

Bon séjour général. Quand nous avons fait le check in le gérant nous as donné la clé il nous à même pas aidé à porter nos bagages il nous regardait montré les 2 étages ma copine et moi avec valise et des sacs ..... pas très galant avec les femmes . cris des gamins et adultes qui parlent très fort en bas au petit dejeuner à 7h du matin c'était insupportable . Notre voisine de pallier était très en colère d'être réveillé si tot . Hôtel bien placé. Petit déjeuner très bon

Bedankt voor de review dat het hotel goed is en nee ik ga geen koffers naar boven dragen dit is een budget hotel en heeft geen belboy en ik begrijp dat het soms luidruchtig kan zijn s'morgens maar dan kan ik de hele morgen wel politieagent tegen dat soort mensen spelen maar dat begrijpt dat soort mensen toch niet.. Wat wel fatsoenlijk zou zijn geweest is als je je naam bekend zou maken en niet verstoppertje gaat spelen. Regards Herbert
