Charming Farm close to Syracuse & Baroque towns

Lovely farmhouse in central Sicily, close to the coast, Siracusa and the baroque towns. We only met Anna, but she was very friendly and welcoming to us. The 4-course dinner she made for us was excellent, but the look of shock and sadness when she saw that we weren't going to finish eating everything (there was a lot!) made us feel a little bad. Our 1BR cottage was charming -- the pullout sofa looked tough to sleep on, but Anna's friendly assistant helped us move a single bedframe and mattress in there, which worked much better for my friend sleeping there. The pool and grounds are lovely and quiet -- we wanted to use our back patio more but too many bugs (DEET spray is a good thing to bring here). Wish we could have spent more time here, but I'd recommend Zottopera for someone who wants a relaxing farmstay in a quiet part of Sicily. P.S. The olive oil they make is great and worth buying
