"My stay at Hilton Chicago/Oak Lawn was a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the entry staff were incredibly welcoming and professional, which made a great first impression. The restaurant and bar were also highlights—excellent service, great atmosphere, and definitely enjoyable. However, the rooms really need some attention. They feel quite outdated, and unfortunately, the beds were very uncomfortable, which made it hard to get a good night’s rest. While the service and amenities in the common areas were great, the room experience didn’t match that same level. Overall, it was an average stay with some strong positives, but improvements are definitely needed in the rooms."

"These rooms are way overpriced.This motel should be $50/nt. I showed the clerk my pre-paid reservation and gave him my ID. He went off to the side for longer than normal and comes back and starts punching in numbers on the credt card machine and gives me a receipt to sign. Problem is I never gave him a credit card or debit card because I'd already paid, so I don't know who's card he charged for $112.xx but it wasn't mine. Maybe because he spent an unusual amount of time away from the window, he got mixed up with another customer. Nevertheless, someone should have unauthorized charges on their card. Now back to the filth. This is definitely a 1 star MOTEL!! There is nothing LUXE about it! Filthy from the outside to the inside. The red and black carpet is disgusting with white spots. The bed!! OMG!! The bed didn't fit inside of the frame. There was a huge gap between the headboard and the mattress. The boxspring or whatever the mattress was on was bigger than the mattress itself. There was no real blanket for the bed. Whatever it was, it was just as thin as a sheet! Definitely gives crackheads and prostitution; Trap motel vibes for sure!! Straight gutter!! Throw the whole thing in the trash! This was a complete waste of money. I didn't last an hour. I ended up going somewhere else where I felt comfortable enough to actually sleep in the bed and feel safe!! "

"When you book with a motel, you know you’re not getting a five star experience. This was no exception. The first room we were given was filthy; dirt was all over the floor and it smelled strongly of smoke (despite being a non-smoking room). We requested a different room, which they didn’t give us any hassle about. The second room was cleaner and smelled less of smoke. However, the smell of stale cigarettes still lingered in the second room (which made sense considering the cigarette burns in the walls and bathroom). While the bed in both rooms looked clean (and appeared to not have any bedbugs), the walls and floor were filthy and looked as though they had never been cleaned. The towels were threadbare and scratchy, and I don’t think I’ve seen older pillows in my life. It reminded me of the crappy apartments I’ve previously lived in, except they didn’t even bother with the landlord paint job. The heater did work (but also smelled like smoke and mildew); we didn’t try the A/C since it’s March in Chicago. There’s not much around the area, but there are 4 gas stations and a bus stop a block away, so it’s not hard to get to some place better. Bottom line, would you die staying the night here? No. Should you stay somewhere else if you have the means? Yes. "
