Everything about this accomodation is the best, great facilities, great staff and there's always tons of free food items so you don't have to worry about salt or cooking oils, or coffee even. Big thanks to a staff member, the tall gentleman wearing the cap, outstanding service and a warm welcoming presence, as well as going above and beyond to help me with the locker code and laundry facilities. You can walk to the hostel from the airport in 10 or 15 minutes... shortest if you walk next to the Antarctic Center. The hostel has a very spacious common room/ kitchen with a vast patio and lots of varied seating and lounging opportunities.

We arrived at 1am and were quickly checked in and not long after in bed asleep. A basic room and amenities but if all you’re doing is sleeping and leaving, it fits the bill. Lots of breakfast options nearby from Coffee Club to McDonalds to Woolworths supermarket. Able to leave luggage at Lylo (in unsecured area, free of charge) to visit the International Antarctic Centre. Caught the local bus 8 into the city - super easy and efficient!

This is a uniquely excellent hotel in my wide travel experience. Extremely convenient to CHC Christchurch Airport (easy, 10 minute walk), very comfortable and affordable for all budgets. All the facilities are modern, well maintained and especially suited to the budget travelers to whom the hotel mainly caters. Even so they have high quality, very pleasant private rooms for slightly more well-off guests. The staff are friendly, well trained, helpful and courteous. This is a do-not-miss lodging if you need to be close to the airport. After two visits to NZ from my US home, I will certainly stay again. I have no hesitation in giving a 100% recommendation to this great place!
