Lovely hotel and staff

Last night in NZ before flight back to UK couldn’t have been at a better place for service, comfort and location. Will quite happily book this again next time we’re back in NZ

Wonderful stay again. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, comfy and quiet rooms. The room was very well cleaned. Only the toilet brush in the bathroom could get some attention.

I had stayed in the hotel when an officer in the Air Force Cadets and it was Wigram's Officers Mess. A great nostalgic stay. Everything i remember but better

Arrived 8:50 pm and left really early in the morning. Reception closes at 8:00~8:30 pm. So could not see any staff. Had to leave the key in a box. Parking was on the driveway in open space. Nothing great but nothing to complain about. The building is old but the renovation inside was good. One thing I was annoyed about was the lack of a desk or proper table where I could do some work with my laption. There was a small round shaped table which was too small.

Was a nice hotel where I wished I had more time to enjoy. It was off the beaten path. The Owner’s were superb. Fun if you want a quiet place in a vintage setting. Price point was above average. Overall, I liked it and would recommend.

A beautiful room with a nice comfortable bed and a spacious, well-appointed bathroom. We enjoyed our stay. The areas where I have given less stars were because there was no one at reception when we arrived and I had to go and find someone to check in, and because I was concerned about the condition of the windows - there is mould around the frames and on the upper windows and they need a good clean. Our room was on the south side so I understand why this is an issue, but it just needs a bit more care.

Always stay here as comfortable, quiet and the staff are fantastic. Love the new menu.The only thing I would suggest is more TV channels- sky movies or chromecast available on the tv's in the bedrooms.

Hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful. I should nite that the hotel does not have a lift, so if you stay on an upper floor, be prepared to carry your bags up the stairs.

A hidden gem

Very charming hotel with lots of interesting history & strong tie to RNZAF. The bathroom has heated floor, what a lovely surprise! The restaurant makes nice meals and provides good customer service. The only setback is the desk inside the room was too small and there’s no power point near the desk, a bit difficult for a business traveler.

The location does not have a lift and limited staff to help with luggage if you are assigned a second fooor space. Not for older adults or people with ambulation problems unless they can promise first fooor accommodations.
