Highly recommended

Liz has a great personality for running a B&B: friendly, helpful, and takes an interest in her guests. As for Mynd House itself, it was comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast was very good. I highly recommend it.

Gorgeous small hotel

Very enjoyable stay. Had to contact the hotel prior to my stay to clarify something and this was answered promptly. Met by the owner who is very friendly, room very cosy with all the amenities you would need. Lovely deep bath! Very quiet even though the hotel seemed full. Breakfast was staggered in line with social distancing, I had the full English which was delicious, local produce and fantastic brown local bread which was a winner. Staff all very helpful too. Would definitely stay here again.

Good to get away for a few days

Reassurance about additional measures due to Covid-19 were timely and appropriate. Liz and Jeff helped make our stay as relaxed and comfortable as possible while ensuring all guests and staff were taken care of. Breakfasts were great, refreshing to have fresh milk in the room for tea, everything very clean, a warm reception and accommodating hosts. We were in Stratton, the top room, which had noisy plumbing, but this was probably more of an issue for our downstairs neighbours! In these strange times not all local places to visit, or pubs and restaurants were fully open, if at all. Hence pre-booking was required and you have to accept the atmosphere would not be the same. That said we managed, people were friendly, places weren't overly busy and the walks were lovely. A nice quiet place to get away for a few days.

Wonderful in every way

A wonderful stay from start to finish. Off road parking. Well appointed, spotlessly clean accommodation. Very comfy bed and very very peaceful spot. Lovely hosts and a varied full choice of breakfast. We will definitely be back. A wonderful location for walking or visiting the local area, also a perfect halfway stop for a long journey. Highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed in the Ashbracken room. The room was OK and the bathroom was very nice. The floor in the room was awful, it creaked and groaned with every step on it. What absolutely ruined our stay was the bed. The mattress was comfortable enough but the old iron/brass bedframe creaked/twanged/groaned every time we made the slightest movement in the bed. A lovely warm welcome, lovely room with a stunning view and excellent facilities (including a little fridge!). Fantastic breakfast and a well stocked bar. Even car parking. What more could you want.

Everything you could ask for . . . .

Wonderful place, friendly, welcoming (and almost obsessive) attention to detail - so many little things that just make all the difference! Room with a view, comfy bed, tea(of many varieties) and coffee in abundance - fridge with "real" milk. Even a corkscrew/bottle opener in the room, despite the hotel having its own lovely bar! Only negative was that we only stayed one night! Great evening meal in nearby (very close walking distance) pub. Fantastic walks from the hotel. Breakfast excellent - especially the homemade jam which was delicious!!! Full marks all round - would highly recommend.

Mynd House

Very short walk to the Ragleth Inn pub. Breakfast is very good, as are the packed lunches they offer. Strong wifi signal.

Nice warm welcoming b and b. Great pub reccomendation given. Grest breakfast. Nucely cooked and sensible portion size. Superb. Liked the minimal packaging used on jam, milk, and sundries.

Ideal place to stay in the Long Mynd area

We were extremely comfortable at Mynd House. The room was fine - attractive and warm and, joy of joys, there was a teapot with the tea-making facilities, so no dangling a teabag in the cup! The breakfast was excellent, made using locally produced food as far as possible and kept us going through the day. The sitting room was comfortable, with a wood burning fire and maps and books to look at to help us plan our time in the area. We will certainly be returning. Little Stretton is a small village but has two very good gastro pubs within walking distance of Mynd House, where we enjoyed eating.
