"Excellent, excellent location for this small, historic non-chain hotel. It would never be mistaken for a four or five star hotel, but it was a perfectly adequate little gem. The staff were helpful with recommendations, questions about getting around, etc.. Their English was excellent. Breakfast was very good, although a bit cramped since it was still a bit too cold to eat on the patio in the mornings. Our room was fair sized, but the bathroom was a little too small, smelled a bit weird, had poor water pressure in the shower, and needed modernizing. The air conditioning was advertised, but the unit did not work well; thankfully it was not too hot and it cooled down by night, although a few biting bugs made their way into the room overnight. Our room (#14) overlooked the courtyard, which opened to the restaurant kitchens. At 4AM the smell of food began to waft into the room. However, the bed was comfortable, and the towels large. I would visit this hotel again; my husband would take a pass and try elsewhere. Finally, a warning, apparently Saturday afternoons the entire street in front of the hotel fill with young people drinking and socializing. One could barely squeeze through the crowd. It got a little loud, but they dispersed by dinnertime, and the staff said this happened every week (!!!!)"
"The property is beautiful and the staff are friendly. While the location requires a car, many lovely sights are just a short drive away. The breakfast selection is good and regularly topped up, though the service is entirely self-service (including seating) and feels impersonal. Some non-inclusive items are available, but they are very expensive, which discourages ordering.
Our room needed some maintenance. Parts of the floor tiles were coming loose, posing a risk of cuts, so we had to keep our toddler in footwear at all times. The bath taps were stuck and unusable; although the separate shower worked, it would have been nice to run a bath for our child. We reported this twice but received no feedback or repair. The wall plugs were also quite loose, requiring extra care.
During our stay, two weddings were held. The first night was very loud, with noise directly outside our window, resulting in poor sleep. The manager apologised the next morning and explained it was unusual, and thankfully the second wedding was much quieter with no disturbance."
"Booked the hotel to stay for a weekend when Cremonese were at home until they changed the fixture to the Monday. Booking an extra nights stay was easy and the hotel were very accommodating. Having driven, there was ample free parking in the vicinity of the hotel plus the hotel had its own underground secure car parking that was inexpensive. The room was clean and functional and there was plenty to choose from the breakfast menu. Staff were polite and helpful and if you are interested in football the US Cremonese team assemble at the hotel the day before so you see your players milling about."
"Lovely hotel and room with balcony. In a quiet part of town. About a 15 minute walk to a local supermarket.
The room would benefit from a kettle to be ale to make a drink, but there are some vending machines on the ground floor for snacks and drinks - cash only."
"The neatness of this place is the best in the city. The restaurant is so so good with some yummy breakfast ideas and an ample parking space. I will be returning when next I am in Brescia"
"Wonderful stay. Clean, comfortable room, nice bedding, wonderful staff. The only thing I would have is a proper fridge in the room. There is one but it is set up for the mini bar. The air conditioning was not working while I was there in April. It was rather hot in my room but I could open the window. Not sure if they turn it on later in the season. "
