" First time staying here. Was a lovely hotel Staff very pleasant.Couldnt fault the breakfast.Bars and restaurant's walking distance.Spent the next day in Ayr.Not that far away "

"Another brilliant stay, although the apartment is getting a little tired, sofa needs replaced , utensils need upgraded, ie no frying pans, cuttlery sparse and a possible deep clean is required. All that said I will return , with my frying pan as we all love a good Scottish fry up. 🙂"

"Nice little place and location for an impromptu overnight stay, but wouldn’t choose longer. Seriously uncomfortable bed, seemingly shared bathroom for ground floor room. Didn’t like having to go out into lobby/reception area to use toilet and or shower. Purpose served for a one night stay. No problem with staff or other guests and a convenient location with parking. "

"The Mecure is a walkable distance from the train station, and from its front doors and front rooms one can look right down a main avenue to the Esplanade and the Firth of Clyde. The staff was excellent, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast had a wide choice of buffet items. I also had supper two evenings in the hotel, and the wait staff plus food were very good. The items for vegetarians were fine, but not much was available for vegans. Because of my knee and hip surgeries, I had to ask to change rooms to have a walk-in shower. Do note, if you cannot climb into a tall-sided and narrow bathtub, you need to ask for a room with a walk-in shower. They made the change of rooms for me."
